Experience: Any! New & veteran players alike welcome.
Location: Roll20 VTT
Schedule: Every Friday, 7:00pm to 11:00pm EST (GTM -5)
Players Sought: 4 ~ 5 players per night
Game Style: Episodic – come and go as your schedule allows. RP or Combat? That's up to you!
Paid Game: Only $10 per session!
ABOUT THE GAME:
Mysteriously transported to Sigil, the city of doors, your character finds themselves stuck in an strange floating city with no way home. Your only allies are other "clueless Primes" such as yourself. What will you do? How will you find your way home? Do you even want to go home? What do you want?
Strangers in Sigil is a custom, episodic, and open ended campaign set in the city of Sigil from the Planescape setting. With lots of side quests and dungeons to explore, you get to decide what you want to do or where you want to go.
This is an Episodic Game Open to Anyone
New players can join anytime, and existing players are free to come and go as their schedule allows. We will play every Friday night from 7pm to 11pm EST. We play on the Roll20 VTT and use Discord for voice. New characters start at level 1 as per the 5E PHB using point buy for Abilities.
Because this is an episodicgame, there are few important rules: 1) everyone must return to home base (Arlo's Flophouse) by the end of the night and 2) you must treat everyone with respect and be a team player – no clowning around!
HOW TO JOIN:
If you wish to join us, please leave a message below and answer the following questions:
What's your name and Discord ID? (first names only please)
How long have you been playing 5E? What other games have you played? (if any)
Your character is in a dungeon. In front of you is a narrow hallway with dart traps in the walls, triggered by pressure plates on the floor. How do you get through the hallway?
You're in a party of 4 adventurers. You come across a pile of loot that includes 300 gold pieces and 3 magic weapons. How do you divide up the loot?
Is there anything you'd like me to know about you?
ABOUT THE GM:
I'm Aaron and while I've been game-mastering for over 25 years. I first started in middle school when a friend of mine gave me a stack of AD&D 2 Edition books because he didn't want to take the time to read them. Since then I've generally been the de-facto GM for me and my friends for whatever RPG we played. Most of my experience has been with D&D 3.5 and Shadowrun, but I've also run games of Mechwarrior, World of Darkness, and many others.
My GM style focuses on problem-solving, critical thinking, and player agency. I feel that as the GM, my job is to create the Call to Adventure. After that, the rest is up to the players. How you answer the call is up to you and your team, and I won't punish you for refusing the call.
...and as a *professional* GM, I feel that once the session starts, I am on the clock. You've paid good money to be here, so I'm not going to waste your time by lazily reading from a module or with time-filler chit chat.
