My name is Jay, I am 22 years old and I have been DMing DnD 5e on and off for past 4 years. While I have occasionally played too I have never had a chance to fully immerse myself into a proper longterm campaign as a player. Hence I am looking to pass on my experience and help any new DMs out there find their own group where they could realize their long unfulfilled dreams of running a proper game.
"Wow, wow, wow stop right there. This sounds pretty weird. I mean if you have all of that experience why just not DM yourself, huh? Nah. I know what this is about - you want me to run a game for you in the way you want, while you constantly stay behind my back pestering for this or that and just overall controlling me and my game. I am not up for that!"
Oh trust me I completely understand where you are coming from. I can only assure you that this is a fully voluntary pursuit and that you can bail out at any time if you ever felt like you are being manipulated and or forced into something you don't want to do. I can also promise you that I don't plan to becoming some shady influence behind your game, controlling everything from within and making adjustments as I see fit. I simply just want to play in a good campaign and if there wont be anything you will need help with, than all the better. In case you would need help however, I am more than willing to provide and that's what this post focuses on.
"Sure alright. So what does this help you offer include? Will you be like picking my players for me, cuz I am not game for that."
Well everything you can imagine has anything to do with DMing a DnD game - assembling a group of reliable and dedicated players who will fit your DMing style, showing you how to manage discord, VTT (virtual table top where to game will physically take place), other helpful tools that save you time and money while running the game, the group itself as a social unit comprised of players and last but not least, the game itself including the 5e system.
"Okay, you write kinda weird but I think I get it. Say I am game, what are the requirements?"
Well I am glad you asked. Lets look them over.
- 18+ and above average English speaking capabilities
- good internet connection, ability to use discord and willingness to use a webcam (mandatory)
- dedication to attending a longterm campaign and/or to running one - punctuality, flexibility
- basic experience with DnD or a similar TTRPG
- willingness to learn, experiment and try out new things
"That's it? Well I don't have a webcam right now, but I could get one. By the way, what would the schedule be like if thing went well? If I am getting into something longterm I would prefer to know now."
Well we would most likely game on Friday or Saturday afternoons (GMT +1) starting at around 5 pm and finishing around 9 - 10 pm. The hours are negotiable.
"Well I suppose I could give this a try. Got too much time on my hands anyways. How do I reach out?"

For players:
Even if you don't plan on DMing anytime soon, you are welcome to tag along. I will be running a oneshot or two along with any of the DM prospects and if everything goes well, the plan is to facilitate a longterm campaign. The requirements apply to you too, so do mind those.
