Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online for now but ideally transition to in person depending on comfort levels. Experience: A few years, I've played a lot of throw away sessions but nothing long term. Location/Timezone: Cedar Park, TX (CMT) Availability: Weekdays after 5:30 and Saturdays. I run a bi-weekly Sunday game so I don't want to affect that schedule right now. Preferred role: Player (I am willing to DM one shots every now and again) Game style: I am a heavy role-player, so I'm interested in early levels especially the game being difficult. I like combat as well though especially when it has interesting twists.
I am a 27 year old male, who moved to Austin last year just as Covid hit. I haven't made any friends yet and I'm getting the itch to play DnD. I've always been way too nervous to post or reply to any thread, and I'm very shy to people I've never met, but I'm super open to people of all kinds.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online for now, Face-to-face in Austin area once everyone in the group is vaccinated and pandemic eases up Experience: Been playing for 1 year in a variety of campaigns. Reasonably conversant in the jargon and rules but also patient with newbies since I was one not too long ago. Location/Timezone: CST. I live in north central Austin. Available to meet in-person in greater Austin area. Availability: Evenings after 7 PM. Strongly prefer weekends. Preferred role: Player Game style: I like a good mix of roleplaying and hack and slash. I like homebrew and casual campaigns where I can tailor my character's backstory to the campaign's world.
Hi, Rap. Aaron here. I'm also a player looking for a game and to make new friends. A little bit about me:
I'm a 39-year-old male and have lived in Austin most of my life. Married, no kids (unless you want to count my goofy pitbull mix). I work in accounting in the tech industry and also have a career in music (vocals and keyboards) and freelance accounting consulting work. As someone who is both creative and analytical, I love how D&D mixes both of those aspects into its blend of storytelling and adventure.
Over the last year, I've been playing an online homebrew 5E D&D campaign with a group of friends from Austin and elsewhere. Our group has been a lot of fun, but our DM has gotten pretty busy in the last few months, so our group has been mostly on hiatus since the new year. I'm looking for a new group of 3 - 4 players + DM. I'm fine with many different character classes, though I would love to try out a dragonborn paladin/warlock idea that I have. I'd prefer to join a longer-term campaign where the starting level is 5 or higher (since that's where the more fun class features come into play).
Have you found any other players and/or DMs so far?
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online for now but ideally transition to in-person depending on pandemic/vaccine/comfort. Experience: A few years, I've played mostly online but I seriously miss playing in person. Location/Timezone: Round Rock, TX (CMT) Availability: Bi-weekly is best for my work schedule but totally flexible on days/times. Preferred role: Player - I have never DM'ed, kind of intimidated but open to maybe running a one-shot or something as the group gets to know each other. Game style: I love the RP aspect, but combat is also super fun. I thoroughly enjoy getting into backstories and forging connections
Hey y'all - I'm Angela, a 37-year-old female, I don't know if either of you has found a group but I'm also in the greater Austin area and would love to be able to play in person at some point. I'm a hobby dice maker, so playing with digital dice just kind of hurts my soul. I was playing with a group in South Austin, but pandemic and kids, and people have moved so we kind of fizzled -- if either of you find a group or want to form one, keep me in mind!
Looking for DnD players to start a new game with. We will be playing out of the 5th edition. I will be DMing the game as well as playing the game with whoever is added to the game. I have 2 people currently looking to get 4 to 7 people to start the game up with. I am interested in having multiple classes and ability levels in this game so if you are new don't think you are not going to be welcomed in this game. I am a seasoned DM and have played for years all are welcome and I will even help with making character sheets and building characters if need be to start this game. Right now the 2 players are playing Monks. I am a solider Monk she is an undead Monk. Please feel free to contact me with questions regarding the game and anything you would like to know. We will be playing this as a group and some will be played in person and some will be played on discord or via some online communication. So if you live outside of the area don't think you can't join us as well.
Hey wanted to see if any of yall were interested in starting a new campaign in Austin or know of one that's early on I can join. I'm in North Loop area and was a part of some great campaigns but they shut down due to COVID-19 (someone showed up that wasn't vaccinated and knew they had been exposed).
Hey there. I live right down the street from you and have a homebrew world and campaign that I'm developing and will be DMing. I'm looking for players to join my campaign so that we can do some in-person gaming in Austin. I'm vaccinated and boosted and looking for other people along those lines. Please send me a private message if you're interested, and I can give you more details.
