Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Would love face to face, but I'm sure that my only real option is online. Experience: Veteran since 1E - which means I'm old (53). Location/Timezone: Central Nebraska - CST Availability: Monday or Tuesday evenings (6:30 or so) Preferred role: Player - I've been DM-ing and actually want to play. Game style: I am hoping to get into a group that is mature in their role playing - playing believable characters with believable strengths and weaknesses. Characters that are motivated by both individual and group goals. As a more experienced player myself, it would be nice (though not required) to get in with a group who is also experienced - a group who knows the rules, and knows their characters abilities. I typically DM games and often find myself with players who don't know their characters (their personalities or abilities). In short, it would be good to be in a group where the game flows smoothly. I don't have any pre-conceived notions about my race / class and I am willing to play just about anything.
When it comes to role playing, I prefer a group that is comprised of players who know when it is their time to shine, and also know when it is not. To me, it is just annoying to have players trying to insert themselves into a role playing situation that is clearly intended for spotlighting another character.
I have the highest tier license for Fantasy Grounds Unity with almost all of the 5E content. For those who might like to bring sounds into their game, I also have the highest tier subscription to Syrinscape. I kinda like the idea of playing the game in Fantasy Grounds, but keeping track of your character and rolling dice in D&D Beyond. I feel that Fantasy Grounds would allow the Dungeon Master the ability to share images and maps with the group, while D&D Beyond is simply a better interface for the players to manipulate their characters.
So, if you think that I may be able to fit into your campaign, please let me know. Discord username - jbeesing#5725

Thanks for reaching out. I'd be happy to join in. I can't do Wednesday nights, and I often travel on Friday evenings.
Also, I don't really want to DM, so let me know if you find one.
Thanks again,
Jim
