Somewhere deep, beyond the timeless night, somewhere far, beyond the cold of death, lies time when the people yet knew how to smile, time when the sun rose from beyond the horizon come morning. That past is now but a sparkle, as distant as the starless sea above us, as faint and fleeting as the hope of the young, as silent as the prayer of the dying. Where there is no future, there is no present, nothing can end where there is no beginning, eternity and a moment are a bride and a groom in the land where all was sentenced to stillness.

The soil wails, the wind carries the lamentations of the damned. The withered trunks whisper of death inevitable, the dark waters sing of anguish unending. Our lives are beads on a string knit by a devil; puppets woven from the threads of desolation. Our wills were stolen from us, beauty taken from us, the sun has long forsaken us. We beg the deaf, worship the dead, invoke the forgotten. We sing the requiem to salvation, with none to pity us. Our tears are shed in vain for as long as the darkness reigns; we shall never see the end of our plight.

Hello and welcome friend! My name is Jay and I would like to invite you to join my Dungeons and Dragons campaign during which Il try to run possibly the most famous of the official DnD modules Curse of Strahd. If you now plan on scrolling down, ignoring the remainder of the text, I strongly advise you to reconsider and read my post in its entirety. The first word of the password is “miserable”.
First and foremost a bit about me. I am a 22-year-old college student, a huge fantasy and sci-fi fan, literary geek and last but not least a passionate TTRPG enjoyer. I have been DMing DnD 5e for over four years now and had gone through multiple campaigns, many of which were run online. I have had many interesting encounters and many memorable experiences thanks to DnD. I’ve always tried learning from my mistakes and capitalizing on my strengths. I see this campaign as yet another opportunity to take a step forward and dive into what I love doing once more.
