the modern late 80's and early 90's style setting for this campaign

as the adventuring college thrives and welcomes its new freshmen and filtered into the new party system the school recently implemented to help encourage and raise their party numbers due to the increase in solo attempts leading to large number of deaths and so the party is there to force a healer and tank into party's. but soon after this began and the party has met and set themselves into their new combined dorms they move to go to the training room and find a party slaughtered they go to report it and begin to spiral down the rabbit hole of trying to find out why how and what happened to them and now the party is searching for a killer or killers through their normally calm and well set town begin to uncover dark secrets lies about the leaders and high ups theyd known comes crashing down as the killer may very well be apart of the protected society and hierarchy will they find the killer or die trying?
