My friend and i want to start a small group of maybe 4 (we’ll settle for 3 players and a DM) as we’re looking to try and get some quests going, maybe finish a short campaign if the sessions go well.
looking for players, possibly as inexperienced as we are, in the eastern standard time zone who wanna have some fun and roll some dice with us on our first session (and second as we’ll be doing character sheets on the first session actually lol)
our interests are mostly rock music related, but we dabble in all sorts of stuff. both of us are musicians. Just a couple of chill dudes.
were open minded when it comes to meeting others. Not to sound rude, but we dont care what you’re into lol Chances are it’s probably cool with us.
weather you’re experienced or not, player OR DM, please contact me if you’re interested at all. I’d love to discuss it further :)
In eastern time zone I've played a little bit with some buddies at work but looking for people to play with outside of work would love to join a group and get something rolling
I’d like to keep the group to maybe 4-5 people, plus the DM when one is found.
im thinking we’ll run some time in the evening towards the end of the week, probably on the weekend.
we’ve got a few prospects to choose from, but i dont think ALL of our schedules will line up,
so only some of us will make the cut. If not, out of fairness (and in an ironic twist of fate) i may have the final spot filled by a wildcard player chosen by the roll of a die.
i’ll keep everyone posted, so be sure to check back or send me a message
the now chosen method of scheduling is going to work like this, though the days are still undecided, i need everyones input on what days they’ll be free.
schedule to run as follows:
-we’ll start it on a WEEKEND , probably a Saturday.
-then we’ll take a WEEK OFF so everyone has some time to handle their personal business.
-the next week we come back, but on a WEEKDAY. To accommodate anyone who cant do weekends consistently as I’ve heard from some players.
all in favour of a saturday/week off/tuesday/week off rotation?
I know this may seem weird but for everyone who is going to play in this can you PM me a short summary of your experience with DnD and your expectations/wants out of the campaign so I can make sure my style is aligned with yours .
I am a pretty fluid DM but I want to make sure we all have simiular expectations .
Hi there! I'm not sure if you're still looking for people, but I'm 21 and pretty new to everything. I've played a handful of times in-person, but never online! I'm also in CST :)
Hi! Are you guys still looking for players? I'm 22 and would love to give D&D a try. I'm a writer, have done some other RPG stuff in the past, and I'm a good team player. Eastern timezone, flexible with hours and days :)
I thought I would share my post so you all have an idea of what I am looking for. If the group " balloons" to 6 players we all need to understand that patience will be our most required pre requisite for playing.
"
I have been Dungeon Mastering for roughly 35 years and I currently run 4 campaigns a week ( its actually my job) for a new generation of gamers learning how to play Dungeons and Dragons. Since COVID I have not had much in the way of peer interactions and do not have much of a social life outside of my work. I work for 2 hours a day at 4pm PST but have all day to do prep and stare out my window as the world passes me by ( okay a little dramatic but you get the idea)
I have a campaign world that I have been filling with wonderful stories for about 3 years now and its coming along nicely. I would love to expand it more but I am hoping to find some players closer to my age than my current campaigns.
Criteria : Prefer newish players who are looking for great storytelling, character building, role play opportunities and a slower pace. I am an amazing DM ( Its okay to be confident people ) with an eye to story and descriptive narratives and characters. Inspiration for my campaigns are drawn from my childhood exposure to movies like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and all sorts of cartoons. I have played an insane amount of RPG game systems so I have no shortage of inspiration.
I am hoping to find a group of kind and patient players who want to jump into DnD for the first time ( or again first time'ish) and get whisked away on a fun filled campaign ( no end just keep going as long as we can ).
I use DnD Beyond to handle all the heavy lifting ie. Character sheets and die rolling and I use Discord to broadcast my tabletop with miniatures and actual sets . Here is an example of some of my game sets.
Here is my campaign World as I currently have it mapped out. Lots of names and some lore but open to great ideas from players!
Hope this post gets some interest and don't worry I'm not a cocky DM I just have confidence in myself to create a fun experience..Im really a nice guy :)"
Im lost for words, you’ve got a really nice set up! Patience is the name of the game here. We’ll all get a chance to throw the dice.
i want you to run it for us in the best way that works for you, at the slowest, but still engaging way we can go about it. I dont want any of the players to feel overwhelmed.
its just a casual learning experience. We’ll take turns and everyone will speak 1 at a time.
everyone be chill and be ready to learn SLOWLY!

I have literally 0 experience but super interested in getting started. Also in the EST zone

I'm a new player in CST, so like an hour off. Is that fine? Forgot to mention I'm 21.
An hour off is fine, shouldn’t do much harm to anyones schedule

I like that! Send me a message and we’ll see where everyone is at in terms of scheduling

Also, one more thing,
i think we’ll be using discord for this… we’ll figure that out as well

I am looking for a small group 4-5 players. I made a post in the forums looking for players with details on what I am all about.
Dwayne, send me a message and we’ll exchange scheduling info and talk about the set up

Alright.
we have a 5-6 player group now.
we MUST find a DM.
if ANYONE can find a DM for a group this size, who’s willing to keep watch over 2-3 noobs as well, we’ll have one hell of a group.
