I am planning to start a D&D campaign which will go operational on March 13th (sunday) at 1230/1pm cst in person. Since the plague is just about over with and I am seriously tired of online play. (can you hear me? your echoing, your garbled, I can't hear you, your mic sucks ect ect). I will conduct interviews through my discord server for possible players so pm me if interested.
I highly recommend every applicant be from the northside of chicago (rogers park, Andersonville and lakeview area) so when deciding logistics, no one has to drive beyond 15 or so minutes. Initially we can meet up at the Dojo for a meet and greet as well as a session 0.
Here is the elevator pitch for the campaign:
The campaign itself takes place in the Forgotten Realms and in particular the Village of Hommlet. The campaign is not just Forgotten Realms but also bits and pieces pulled from other campaign settings like Greyhawk, Frank Herbert's Dune, Thieves World, Call of Cthuhlu, Heavy Metal (the movie), Alien and so on. This campaign will have a horror / high fantasy/ Sci-Fi feel to it so bear that in mind when joining. You will start at level 2 with the campaign going to level 20 or there abouts.
Campaign Overview
The campaign begins with everybody aboard a carriage of the Fireball Express line on your way to to Hommlet to meet with an individual named Elric, The Lord of the land, your respective patrons, teachers, tribal leaders or what ever have sent you to Hommlet to assist Lord Elric in a few tasks. You are given his description of a tall, lanky 1/2 elf with bone white hair and bone white skin with Burning red embers for eyes. You are to meet the Lord of the land at the Inn of the Welcome Wench.
Rumors: through your travels you have heard many rumors, but the most disconcerting one that plagues your mind is that of beggars and homeless folk being found in Waterdeep dead with body parts missing. You overhear one of the coachman mention that some body parts have even been found in the river running through Hommlet. Odd indeed.

Still have a few spots open, probably be 6 or 7 players, cool thing about in person playing is you can have larger groups.
have two openings left, this is an LGBTQ+ group, so you will be among good peeps. I have also decided to run curse of strahd.
Still looking for a few more people from Chicago.
Need one more player and we are set.
Still need a couple of more players for this in person campaign (it is NOT an online campaign) Here is my discord if interested in joining: scott#0199
