I'm looking for one or two players to round out a campaign that will be starting next week (Session 0 and character creation on the 19th of March). The campaign is about a group of adventurers sent to an unknown uncharted continent to look for weapons and riches to bring back home to their village. The campaign is an attempt to try to play a slower style of DnD where travel means a risk of random encounters, rations and ammo need to be counted, encumbrance matters, damage sticks around a while, inventory management is part of the gameplay and combat is strategic and complex.
We are going to be using a list of variant rules from the back of the DMG as well as some homebrew ones that include facing, hitting cover, more ways to trigger OAs, weapon damage variation, weapon's having chances to break and some more. If you are a newer player, this might not be the campaign for you. But if you come to DnD seeking this kind of experience this should be for you.
Lore wise, this is a campaign largely constructed to try out a bunch of monsters, items and mechanics from Fizban's. So expect lots of dragon-themed things.
