Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face Experience: Everyone welcome, especially beginners Location/Timezone: Melbourne, AU. Inner suburb, public transport friendly Schedule: Weekly on Thursday evenings 7.30-10.30pm Roles sought: 1 or 2 players Game style: We play a balanced game style and use the Forgotten Realms setting. Currently, the campaign has the heroes in the Moonshae Isles.
I am more or less completely new to D&D. I've been interested in it for a while, I've read/skimmed the player's handbook and watched some Critical Role but have never gotten around to actually finding a group to play with. I live and work in the outer South East Suburbs but am near public transport and am happy to travel. I'm 26 and a teacher by day, I would love to hear more about your group to see if I might be a good fit.
I've been the DM for this group for 18 months after getting back into D&D after a very long hiatus. I used to play back in the 80s/90s as a teenager. Now I'm 46 and a software developer in the South East Suburbs.
We've currently got two players in their 20s, also software developers, who were new to D&D back when we started. We've been playing online due to COVID, but are keen to get back to the table with 1 or 2 new recruits. Also, my daughter is keen to get back into D&D since playing online wasn't her thing. She sometimes says my descriptions of the monsters are 'disgusting' or a combat scene was 'so gross' but she also tells me to not change :D
I listen to Critical Role too, and if you like that, playing D&D is next level awesome :) I'll send you a DM with more info.
Hi Lauren, I've run games for kids (my daughter is 12), but I find they play best with friends, family, and people their age. Playing with adults is not ideal most of the time - maybe in a few years time? Maybe put up a notice at high school. I hope D&D is much more cool than when I was young and nerdy :) Hopefully you find his people, it really is the best game in the world. Good luck! Vaughan
As a matter of fact, I created a new post a few days ago and this thread got bumped in front for some reason. So, yes, I am looking a player to join our group.
Send me a DM and tell me about your D&D journey and what you are looking for.

Yeah that sounds great. Look forward to hearing from you.
My son is 13.5 and would like to join a D&D night.
We live Melbourne Eastern suburbs.
Can someone please help me to help him find his people?
Thanks 🤩👍

Ah, just noticed the thread creation date, I don't suppose you're currently looking for a player?
