Hello there, this is my first time posting a Looking for Group message on the forum so I hope this is the correct area and correct way of posting it:
Game: D&D 5e preferably but any version is fine. Group preferred: Online, Text-Only (please no Voice Chat or face-to-face material unless there is an option to simply type out responses instead of saying it or showing it to you directly. I can be vulnerable to this and please make sure it's free to use!). Experience: New, never played before. Please be willing to help me out when it's my first time. Location/Timezone: United Kingdom, BST (flexible depending on time differences, I'd reply back with the response once offered) Availability: Literally any time of day or night, except overnight or Thursday nights between 7pm-10:30pm. Preferred role: Player, since I have NEVER played D&D before so don't think it would be a good idea to try DMing a game without learning that first. Game style: I accept literally ANY game style you want. I prefer games involving many quests so that I have something to actually achieve a sort of goal or mission, but it won't matter if the games offered don't involve that, I'll just accept anything, so long as it's free to use all the resources I'd require and I know how to use them, so might need to teach me that.
Just remember, I am new to D&D so please try to explain the rules as much as possible as I might ask a lot of questions about actions I can take, places I could visit and scenarios I'm in in the case I forget or are unsure. I do have a Starter Set I got for my birthday not long ago to roll dice or else I'll use DDB or a random dice generator to roll providing you instruct me what kind of roll to make and how I am to make it if making it any other way than simply clicking a stat. Just remember, you should try to advise as much as possible as to the nature of the campaign/adventure and maybe fill me in on what happened so far once I get an offer as I may ask more about it before deciding whether to accept, don't want to be entering a game and not knowing the situation I would be in upon joining if it was part-way through.
