Hiya,
Brand new D&D player who wants to play her first game. I don't do voice games, I only want to do PBP games. I also would like a game with lots of role playing, exploring and such and not too much fighting. I can join a game here on the forums or on Discord. But I will need a bit of guidance in everything. I have the Players Handbook and know a bit, but not all. So if you are willing to let me join: let me know!

Hi! I am also a brand new DnD player! I've wanted to play for awhile but couldn't find other people to play with. I know how to play, but there is a lot of information that is difficult to keep straight, so I apologize in advance if I trip up. I also prefer play by post, and I am available pretty often at various times throughout the day (United States, Central Standard Time). I prefer a role as a player; I'm too inexperienced to play DM. I have a discord server looking for players of all experience. It’s heavily RP based, primarily play by post, and we’re just getting started back up after a few months of real life coming first. :) We’ve got a festival coming up in the next couple of weeks that will be extremely backstory heavy, so now is a great time to join and get used to the mechanics before the festival starts!

Is this a west marches server?
I can best describe it as a hybrid of west march and campaigns depending on your own schedule/commitment.
It’s a world that started as a campaign, but I had a hard time onboarding new people who wanted to join, so I split it into 2 campaigns. However, then trying to get new players up to speed was difficult (both with scheduling and story telling), so I shifted focus so that lower levels were more west march / lore driven styles as people learned about the world and higher levels returned to weekly campaigns based on what they learned in the lore/west marches. Everything is connected, but you can be a part of as much or as little as your availability allows.
You can choose to attend a weekly campaign slot (as they are available), join a series of one shots, or add to a 24/7 storyline. There are overarching story lines, but they come and go as continual arcs and people can choose to follow those arcs or not.
