[LFP] [18+] Curse of Strahd, looking for 1-2 players (particularly those looking for a permanent group)

Game: DnD 5e (Dungeons and Dragon, 5th edition)

DM Experience: 4+ years DM, 7+ DnD 5e experience

Payment: We don't do that here - your praise and adjulation shall suffice

Homebrew: I started as a homebrew DM and much of my experience is as such, so expect homebrew to crop up

Style: Roleplay, slow~medium pace

Applications: Discord (communication, free), DnD Beyond (characters and sharing of books) and Foundryvtt (tabletop for the game, free)

Demographic: For those who wish to know, we are 3 males within our twenties (I'm 22 myself)

Schedule: Every Saturday or Sunday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm CDT, possibly later depending on players (looking to decide between Saturday and Sunday once new players are chosen)

My two devout players have found themselves in the lands of Barrovia, and, wouldn't ya know, between the bite of chilling mists and vampires they're in much need of some companions. We're looking for 1-2 (maybe three...) players to become permanent additions to our motely crew and join us for the countless ventures our future undoubtly holds.

My players and I love a good story and RPing is our prefered way to engage. However, don't be daunted by the prospect of not being able to act - ethusiam is our currency here. Fully expect my own voices for NPC's to be far from spectacular and feel free to join my players in the sarcastic remarks to follow.

Speaking of sarcasm, I felt it important to share let's say, three words that describe my two players: passionate, sarcastic/adult, and mature.

My player's are passionate about their characters, the world in which they are playing, and developing relationships in and out of game (in the sense they want both the character/player to feel well involved). They commonly talk with eachother or myself regarding their characters, the world, or story outside of session, so if you're not afraid to get immersed then you've found the right people.

I kinda cheated on this one cause it's two words, but felt both should be addressed since they fall into our group's "humor." For starters, we constantly poke and prod at eachother, in all good fun I can assure you. It's simply how we've always engaged eachother, especially in my case. Additionally, our humor can be adult or dark, perhaps even offensive. Like our sarcasm, it's not to be taken seriously but if you're not comfortable with it you'll need to look elsewhere. People are creatures of habit and these are rather set in their ways.

As previously implied, my players aren't afraid to approach adult or dark topics, thus this naturally extends to content that can be found in the campaign (that being mature). I mean this in the sense that descriptions, in world events, and story developments can approach topics best fit for 18+, thus the tag in the title.

So if you're willing to take a step in the lands of Barrovia, you can reach me at my discord (Often-Ponders#7252). Anyone interested will need to contact me before April 13th. I intend each potential player to have time to talk with me and my prexisiting players, thus reach out ASAP.

As one of his players I can say he smells. Also, I'm looking forwards to see who joins us.

Also, to keep everyone in the loop, every potential player will be invited to our discord server after first talking to me.

From there, I plan for potential players to mix it up with my own preexisting two till April 13th, which is when we will determine what players best fit our group and will join us. I will then remove unchosen players from the server - nothing personal, I just like to keep things small.

Depending on the number of potential players, I plan to host a one-shot(s) to see if you like my DMing style and if you and my players mesh well. I will reach this decision by Friday and the one-shot(s) will be hosted this weekend on either Saturday or Sunday (both if we have more potential players than expected but not too much either). I will post on this forum my decision on the one-shot(s).

I've got experience playing and RP'ing is my jam. I don't mind doing online but I live in Guam.  It's that American territory way out in the middle of the ocean, kind of cut off from the rest of reality... I suppose we could call it Barovia that way.   I'm down for adult humor and good natured ribbing but I can't do Saturdays as that would be Sunday my time.  (I'm 13 hours ahead of you, where America's day begins, so I live in your future, and let me tell you, it's gonna be great)!   Your Sunday nights would be my Monday morning and I could play until 10:30am my time, which is 8:30pm your time.  I have an online game I stream that starts at 9pm your time and I need about a half hour to set up for it.  

So, if 4-8 or 8:30pm on Sundays works for your team, give me a shout and we'll look at the next steps together.  Either way, have fun and make some amazing memories in your game!   The original Ravenloft is killer!

Hello! I would be very interested in joining your campaign. I am a 30-year-old guy from Mn that has played a little but it has been a few years. I do have the basics down but I may need a few pointers here and there as I get back into the swing of it. I do have a character ready to go. I can PM you the details and his back story if you would like. Sunday nights would work better for me but I am pretty open on weekends. (My partner and I do date night on Saturdays but we are moving in together soon so that won't be an issue) I have been wanting to play again for a while now and I think your group and campaign sound like a lot of fun.
