I'm looking for my first ever group to be a part of to play DnD for the first time. I know how to make characters as I've practiced making multiple characters beforehand, I just have never played a game.

I'm looking for text-based specifically as I am deaf and find it very, very difficult to follow when multiple people are speaking, and miss a lot when it's just one person speaking. However, I don't mind it if OOC speak is done. I just need to have IC (in character) speak in text form.

I currently have a Tabaxi Rogue set up to play.

I would like to play. I'm not experienced either, but I would really like to try text based ( I'm a little quiet and find it easier to write things out). I would maybe use a magic based character (sorcerer or wizard).
