I have been playing D&D in one way or another since the late 70's. Yep, I am the old guy. However, I also started and raised a family since then. Meaning, there was a very long span of time where I neither played nor ran any game at all. Recently I have become interested in playing again (Read that part as I have time again and would like to start playing again). Let me be perfectly clear 5e is not one I have spent many years learning or even using. I have spent the last few months playing a few games and getting familiar with the 5e system. I am pretty sure I am back into a position where I can do a good job as a DM again, however,  I am sure that I will continue to do a good bit of learning.

I am looking for players who want to play in the Forgotten Realms, primarily on the Sword Coast, using the pre-written adventure campaigns, at least to start. This will be a long term game where in everyone gets a voice in at least the type on content we run. I do not care about the experience level, but everyone will need to be patent with any new players. Mostly I am looking to get together with a group of folks who would like to make new friends and play a fun game.

I'm more familiar with 3.5e but 5e is pretty darn streamlined anyways. (I also know what thaco is! I've played a single game of 2e.) Right now I have yet to see my new work schedule but hopefully I'll be able to hop in and play.
