Have u been in groups that were tagged as "heavy rp" but ended up with min-maxers looking for "optimal party compositions", murderhobos killing NPCs for fun or silent/audience players that don't engage?
Well this has happened to us too, so how about we do this the other way around? Let's get a good group together first and then we get a DM later knowing that the party dynamics already work well for a heavy rp game.

We want to create a safe space for heavy rp people where we can develop our characters, rollplay our heart out without any judgment, ridicule or mockery. Bullies will be swiftly dealt with.

What kind of players we look forward to play with?

Initially looking for people, over 24 years old. Sorry little kittens.

Players that are comfortable with Camera and Voice. We want to engage strongly with people's verbal and non-verbal roll play so cam definitely a must.

Players that share the spotlight but engage with others proactively. If you have a hard time engaging with others, this group is not a good fit for you. Not everyone has to be a boisterous bard tho! (Scanlan anyone?) (Sorry for the CR references lol).

People that are imaginative and descriptive when casting spells or attacking for a cinematic experience. Plain numbers are boring.

People that enjoy creating meaningful background stories with a character arch that can develop during a campaign.

People that value high immersion and aren't distracting when dramatic or serious situations are happening in-game. Beware intense jokesters.

People that understand the difference between in-character choices vs player-to-player conflict. Pls don't create jerk characters that kill all NPCs and steal from everyone. If you develop character flaws be mindful that those might generate some in-game tension that can be great for good rp moments. Be mature about it.

People that want to engage which the Theater of the Mind system for the maximum RP experience meaning NO BATTLE MAPS for the most part. We will rely on Imagination, Team Work Strategies and Heavy Rollplay to solve encounters. If you cannot Imagine yourself playing in a game without VTT like Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds, this is not the group for you.

Friendly players that can communicate well with others and are open to constructive feedback.

Unsuitable for:

• Metagamers, Murder Hobos, Powergamers like this --> “No Bob! You won’t win the game of dnd, or get points for how many you annihilate, it’s a creative coop exercise! But if you wanted a gold star, here is one” ⭐️
• People unwilling or uncomfortable interacting in Camera.
• Abrasive, aggressive, intolerant, dismissive people. I believe every conflict can resolved via dialogue talking in a respective manner.
• DMs with god complex.

This is NOT a first come first served proposition. The idea is to create a group of like-minded people and then organically we can set up games even if we all not end up in the same campaign, we at least are on the same page about the games we want to experience.

I would be interested in this type of DnD, however I will be honest and say that I haven't been playing DnD for very long. I will say that I am extremely passionate about the game and take all the possibilities it provides seriously. I have done a lot of research already in better understanding the RAW and playstyles and would very much enjoy doing this kind of deep role playing as I feel that this is the foundation of what DnD is. I'll get in contact with you soon! Just keep in mind this group doesn't focus on rules but character development. Ofc,  depending on the system we finally wanna run games with, we will adhere to those rules, but the focus is getting into developing cool characters for awesome rp. That's the goal.
