Roles sought: I'm looking for 1-2 players. I already have several applicants. If you meet the criteria, I'd recommend you apply, but expect the chance to not get in. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I do try to find the best players. I'm fine with both new and experienced players. (I do expect newer players to know at least a bit about how their abilities work though). I will not hesitate to kick out any "That Guy" players, and I don't want any meme characters (This is a serious long running campaign...)

Game style: 

The game itself is pretty chill with what I'd call a 60/40 non-combat to combat ratio. I'm totally cool with reflavoring of abilities (flavor is free after all!) as long as it's run by me. The tone of the setting is pretty high fantasy, so a lot of characters would work here, the fights are pretty high octane, and it is slightly darker though than your average fantasy setting (Just due to violence). It's not intestines and spines being ripped out, but there's some blood. I wouldn't want super lighthearted characters in this party.

The party is level 6, and the campaign will likely go to 16th-18th level.

Although the story itself can be a bit intense at times, the table has a pretty chill vibe to it, and the players are nice. I'm very open to player feedback as a DM. The story itself has had 4 completed arcs so far (party is on the 5th, new players will likely join on the 6th arc).

When it comes to player death, I'm not brutal (only killed off 2 PC's in my games, one due to the most stupid decisions to exist (another campaign), and the other (this campaign) an actual not stupid death) but I don't fudge or hold back, and resurrections are ridiculously hard to get in my game world, so don't expect revivify spamming to be possible.

Although I have nothing against trying to make really optimized characters, due to the current PC's very unoptimized nature, I'll ask for no ridiculous optimization (strong characters are fine, just nothing ridiculous)

I'm decently rule of cool (especially with 5e's pure martial classes), although I do enforce Verbal (Depending on the nature of the character I may allow replacement of verbal components with loud sounds from the casting of the spell) Somatic and Material components to be properly followed for spells.

I only do 1-2 combat encounters per long rest (no short rests) but I do have a simple homebrew rule which allows for short rest classes to be viable.

I don't want to load you with campaign rules, but if you apply, I'll tell you then! Just note that some spells are adjusted/banned, hexblade has special multiclassing rules, and there's the special "short rest classes can be viable" rule.

sounds very fun! im sixteen and have been playing for nine ish years (i know it sounds like a lie). idk what kinda information you want so ill give you some random dnd stuff - i play warlocks and humans the most, either very tiny or huge. ive dmed a fair bit too, but i doubt thatd be relevant. nat 20 also!
