One of the last groups I got involved with had a campaign that lasted 2 sessions before it was cancelled. It is difficult to find long term games here...
So...I am looking for a new group to join again...
When the Dragonlance book comes out, I plan to DM an epic campaign in that world and my invites go first to people I play with...
My story...I am older than the pyramids, started playing and DMing in the 1980s. I run a level 1-20 game once a year. But until the past few months did not get to play in 5e as a player.
Most of the campaigns I join as a player only last a couple of sessions. The longest one I have been in so far was 6 sessions before it crapped out.
I am looking for a long term group. For real...
I like games that are closer to high fantasy, where not every character is a fairy or a centaur, etc. I am getting really tired of the whole feywild thing...
I like characters to feel heroic, but not power gamed or min/maxed, with flaws and choosing in character RP decisions that are not optimal.
My favorite classes are pure casters, but I can play any class or any role in the party. I prefer to be more supportive of other characters than the main event myself.
I don't play edgelords and believe strongly in team play like sharing treasure with the party and do not hoard or steal. I do not do PvP.
So if you are looking for a committed long term player, focused on a balanced game and the benefit of the group instead of my character alone, then I respectfully apply.
Please...I have adult responsibilities and stuff, so while I appreciate the offers from the Pacific Time Zone, that is basically the middle of the night for me and undoable.
It sounds like a cool game, I appreciate the offer, but that will run really close with my other responsibilities and I am afraid I would be unacceptably late a lot.
Hey there volshebnik, I'll be running a Candlekeep Mysteries campaign soon covering 6 of the adventures in that book. It is a paid campaign and I suspect that will help with players dropping out and so on; the campaign will have sessions every two weeks on Saturday at 1 PM EST and I already have 2 of my 5 players locked in. I've run a number of campaigns successfully to completion. My longest ongoing campaign, which has a Greek mythological theme, has done 41 sessions.
I'm in EST, but I work second shift so I'd be looking for morning/ early afternoon games, which would be around 5-6pm for you.
I'm a brand new player. I've read the starter rule book and I've made a couple characters but haven't played any of them yet. I like to be in more of a realistic/ high fantasy style as well, complete with character flaws. I've made an animal loving caveman ranger, a drunk human sorcerer, and an angry dwarvan bard. I'm willing to use whichever one suits the party best.
I was drawn to the creativity and improvisation of the game and wanted to give it a try. I'm all about team tactics and strategy, but I don't mind some chaotic fun as well. But I agree, not looking for PvP.
So if you find a group or end up making one I hope you'll consider including me. It sounds like we're looking for a similar game and I could use the help getting started.
Thanks!

Hi. I see that you didn't mention Sunday here, but you seem like a good person to play with, so I'll give it a go.
I'm currently starting up a new homebrew campaign, you can cheack out the details in this post if you are interested: Safiria: A Battle of Gods
It sounds like a cool game, I appreciate the offer, but that will run really close with my other responsibilities and I am afraid I would be unacceptably late a lot.
I understand. Thank you for taking the time to check it out anyways. Hope you find a good game to be a part of.
