Hello, Sacramento players! A friend and I will be looking into starting up a long-term campaign here in the next couple months. We'd love to shoot for doing a one-shot or two to get to know people first. Group vibes are incredibly important to us. Obviously, looking for an offline group can take a bit longer than an online one so we'll take as long as we need to to find good players, hopefully it shouldn't take took long!

We're also ready to be incredibly patient to find players and will be rather picky to make sure that everyone has good vibes. If you're finding yourself near "I have proof of being vaccinated" (note: I don't need the proof, but, like, c'mon.), "eat the rich", "black lives matter" etc, then this will be the group for you. If you're LGBTQIA+, PoC, etc... This will be the group for you. If not, you'll be hastily invited to leave.

Time: TBD. Right now, the Friday group players 5pm to 8-9pm, though we may need to move that to starting around 8pm instead. The new group is LIKELY to be Saturday at an unknown time, or possibly* Sunday or Thursday night. We'll find some mix of Thurs-Sun for both groups depending on people's availability.

Format: 5e. We very much do *not* play "by-the-book" D&D either. So if you're looking for something exactly to the book, this will not be for you. We're very much an "if you want to do something, let's figure out how to do it, as long as it isn't very unbalanced" type of group.

Module: Homebrew, and we tend to run around 70% RP/Story vs 30% combat -- give or take. So this is absolutely not a dungeon grind game. "Friday" game is my game, I tend to run more typical fantasy games. The "new" game is looking into the possibility of running Spelljammer/space theme, or possibly Feywild? Maybe a mix of both? Who knows, we want to figure that out with the players.

Players: Since we're now looking to fill in potentially our other group of players moving as well, just a note that the (what currently is) Friday evening group is looking for 2 players, while our brand new (probably) Saturday group is looking for 1-3. Again, times/days are not locked in stone, but this is our initial thought on days anyway.

Our group: "Friday" currently has 2 players (Mel she/her and Jan he/him) and me, the DM (Mike he/him). "New" group has just Mel as DM and me as player. We also have one player (Brii, she/her) who will join one group or the other and hasn't decided yet. She's been playing with us on Friday for the past year.

Where we'll play: Our Friday group plays at my residence as I have access to a large table and chair space, and a bunch of stuff that doesn't have to be lugged everywhere for playing somewhere else. Eventually, that's where we'll take this group. To start with we might grab one of the game shops in the area and rent out a table for a session or two as we get comfortable with each other. Currently, I live just south of Galt, so it's a tad bit of a trip (about 20-30 minutes from Sacramento to the South) but I'll be moving back into the Sac area planned on July-ish.

What you should not be: A rules lawyer, a main character, a bigot, a murderhobo, or really anything other than a team player in the group. We're all here to have fun and enjoy ourselves! New player or experienced, it's all good here.

Bit of a bump. Added information about our (what is currently) Friday group that we're sadly losing a couple players and having to do a campaign restart after almost a full year of great campaigning. One to a new job, one to a new state! We're also still looking for good players to fit into the new "probably Saturday" group.
