first time player looking for some folks to play with!

so, i'm new to tabletop games as a whole, but have roleplayed before for about 10 years of my life, so i should be fine on that front when i get more used to things since i'd like to a roleplay heavy experience --- i'm a sucker for lore, so of couse i'd be intrigued in that 

i've always been interested in playing dnd /d&d ( i don't know what everybody prefers, i usually write dnd ) 

i haven't even played a game yet, but i've always wanted to, as i stated above 

preferably i find a group based within discord that welcoming and inviting, and preferably not too large! i'm 20 years old, so i'd like to play with people 18+ 

i have anxiety so a smaller group that's understanding ( and accepting of lgbt people especially, i'm lgbt myself so ) would be much preferred

my timezone is EST and i often do things with my partner in the day, so night time is often better for me, as of right now, i'm currently unemployed so any day is fine but i'm planning to start an internship during the summer so if i get into that, i will alert you of if i can continue to participate or if it will interfere with my participation at all. 

i've no problem with joining a group outside of my timezone
