Our little merry band of 4 misfits, all over 20, is looking for a talented DM that can transport us through the lands of lore and wonder in a DnD game.
Time frame for this group:
Sessions on Monday or Wednesday
Starting at 5pm UTC // 7pm GMT+2 // 1pm Eastern Time // 10am Pacific Time. 4 hour sessions.
What can you expect from us?
Committed and enthusiastic players. No sending memes while playing, playing Minecraft while in session or any of those shenanigans
A friendly and communicative atmosphere. LGTBQIA+ friendly. A safe place.
We are all using Camera and Voice
Cooperative Mindset. We work with the goals of the party.
Active engagement to RP amongst our characters and the world around us. Some of us are into voice acting, some not but we def put effort into creating interesting characters.
We value high immersion and take the world as an irl place.
We will provide meaningful character backstories to develop a character arch.
Mature attitude regarding in-game character flaws that will provide good RP but no conflict as players in that regard.
Even though the group is international, we all have a solid command of the English language: some as Natives and some as second language.
What we are looking for in a DM?
Over 24 years old, preferably over 30.
A Talented Storyteller that can embark us in a narrative ride. A person that is highly descriptive with scenery, NPCs and actions.
An enthusiastic and communicative personality. LGTBQIA+ friendly.
Good mic and Internet Connection. Access to Camera.
Creative sense for developing interesting NPCs, preferably with voice acting.
A person that has a high dominion of the English Language.
A fair sense for storytelling and willingness to reward cooperative creativity. Rule of Cool mindset.
A person that likes to create a narrative using the players backstories. We want to belong in the setting and workshop our characters with the DM in a collaborative process.
Player-driven story telling. We want to affect the world and feel like it is a place with internal logic and continuity.
Cinematic Combat that is meaningful for the story. Battles for the sake of fighting tend to drag. We want combat that feels challenging but relevant to character or plot development. Also plain numbers for combat scenes is not the vibe for us.
A mature person that can work well with others and accept constructive criticism. A highly cynical or tyrannical DM is not a good fit for our group.
NO GOD COMPLEX. DMs that think they are sitting in a throne looking down at the players is not our vibe. We respect our DM as the authority in-game figure for ruling mechanics BUT we consider all participants as equals.
The type of adventures we would like to be part of?
A Middle lengthy campaign from level 1 to 10. Something that can be resolved in sight. If that sounds interesting to continue it's up to all of us.
An overarching story or mystery that ties our backstories together. (Example: Fantasy High, Dimension 20)
Preferably an official adventure since many of us have not played many of them. Ofc it's your creative liberty to shape the material the way you see fit.
We prefer games in a Theater of the Mind. We are all familiar with Discord and DnD Beyond sheets. For complex battles we prefer a whiteboard to indicate positioning and avoid the "videogamey" feel of platforms like Roll20.
No payed games pls!
Pls PM me your Discord handle if interested to set up a Voice Chat and eventually a one-shot with the group to see if we all fit and gel together well!
wow, i may only check 2/5ths of those boxes but ill still throw my hat in the ring. im 27 and been dming for 6 years, pretty humble in my skills and really care for story telling. i like the vibe of the group and iv been looking for a strong stable one, hopefully i make the marks
I may be interested, I have all the resources in Dnd Beyond we would need, and I generally love the sound of your party. I currently run two games in a combined world, but these games are winding down. I'm usually on dnd beyond homebrewing stuff so, hit me up, I'll notice the message sooner than later. If i'm not what you are looking for fair enough, I hope you all find a DM who works for your group and I hope you find them quickly. :)
