Hello, I often go by PUN, I am 24, I use the He/They pronouns. I live in Texas with my boyfriend and two cats. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about half my life. I have been a Dungeon Master for over 6 years. I have been a professional Dungeon Master for just over a year now. I started out in 3.5 and quickly moved to 5e where I picked up DMing for my small group of friends. It has been one of my biggest passions and greatest joys being able to make an amazing story with those sitting across the table or, in more recent times, screen.
My GMing style is a bit more laid back than most I have experienced in my day. I hate the feeling of the DM being against or "beating" the players. My goal is to build a story with and around the player in my game. If you are not having fun then I am not having fun.
I love a good roleplay heavy session. I have a couple of voices that I can do but don't make fun of me for slipping in and out of them! I am a super laid back and a "will of the players" type GM. The "rule of cool" is something I live by, I may allow something to happen just because I deem it cool. I sometimes twist or bend the rules to make a game more fun for both the players and myself. I mostly run a homebrew game but love running more sandbox modules such as Out of the Abyss.
Welcome to the Forsaken Province! (Tuesdays and Wednesday 3pm CST, Thursdays 4pm CST)
The Forsaken Province is a land of magic and mayhem, where stories aren't always told in the way you might be used to. The heroes don't always win, the villains aren't always what they seem to be, and happily ever after is long sought after yet always so far away. The land is split into Nine Lands, each ruled by who in our world are known as the villains of their stories. They banded together long ago to tear themselves from their stories, along with the other inhabitants, to create a world that they ruled over. They stripped people of their identities, banned magic, and cut the world into chunks for each villain to rule. For a while things were fine. Each villain with their land to rule and people to control there was peace. Until, as all villains do, they began to get greedy. Fighting over land, resources and control. The more effort that was put into fighting each other was less they could put into controlling the world. Heroes started to rise up, magic became more common, and most importantly villains began to lose.
This is where our party begins their story. As the world teeters on the balance of good and evil, it is their job to decide which way it falls. Players in this story can play anything their imagination comes up with. Play that fairy tale prince or princess your inner child has always wanted. The knight in shining armor, who may not be so bright but loves his friends. Get your Mad Hatter on or even a character out to end a curse on their name. Anything your heart desires. I am sure we can find something to make this game your happily ever after.
A story in the amazing world of Ravnica! (Sunday 12pm CST)
Ravnica is a worldwide cityscape; an ecumenopolis consisting of a patchwork of grand halls, decrepit slums, and ancient ruins, with layer upon layer of stonework. Law magic and the metaphysics of hierarchy are deeply woven into the very fabric of the plane, enabling cooperating leaders to achieve feats of greatness.
Of the world's countless civic centers, one looms large above all others: the City of Ravnica, a metropolis so vast that its name has long since become synonymous with the entire plane. Centuries of Ravnican business—powered in many cases by Izzet boilerworks and other guilds’ foundries—have saturated Ravnica's atmosphere with all manner of industrial pollution.
Ravnica is a world within the vast mutliverse of the Wizards of the Coast game Magic the Gathering. It has since been ported over to DnD 5e so we might be able to enjoy its amazing cityscape as a setting for our games!
About the Games.
I have my own homebrew world but for this game I am wanting to try something new. Something inspired by the TV show "Once upon a time." and all the fairy tales I grew up reading and watching. I have only had this idea for a short period but it has really exploded in my head. I want to allow the players to help build a fantastical world with a rich variety in player characters. I have allowed everything from Mimic wizards to even breaking the one rule of the world (no humans), so know I am open to any crazy character concepts you might have. Especially with this new world. I really want to allow the players to raise their creative flag and let it fly.
Tuesday / 3pm - 7pm CST (2 slots)
Tuesdays game is a story that started right after the release of Fizban's. Thus it is a dragon centric campaign. The story revolves around the party as they perform tasks for a dragon who happens to be the child of the current ruler of the land. The have saved a town from being destroyed by a corrupt official and are on the way to remove a key item from a rival dragons hoard. They are at level 5.
Wednesday / 3pm - 7pm CST (1 slot)
Wednesdays game is a story all about witches and the curses they lay on the people around them. The party has been helping a princess run from the powers at be who seek her for mysterious reasons. The party currently finds themselves trapped in the middle of the desert and are attempting to find a way that they might be able to escape with their lives. They are at level 5.
Thursday / 4pm - 8pm CST (1 slot)
Thursdays game is a gothic horror fantasy story. Centered on the interactions of the party as they try to navigate a world on the brink of total collapse. A collapse brought on by someone they thought they could trust. Dr. Frankenstein, their mentor and leader has had some strange things going on around him. This game is very undead focused and has the possibility for extraplanar travel. They are at level 5.
Sunday / 12pm - 4pm CST (1 slot)
Sundays game is a game set in Ravnica. All players will be posing as their choice of guild while they are actually working for the dimir. This will be a story of intrigue and deception, but not without its laughs. We have 5 of the 6 players needed to run this session and will be starting as soon as we find our one extra. They are at level 1.
All races and classes in official Wizards of the Coast published book are free game to use. I am even open to allowing UA/Homebrew as long as it has been submitted and approved by me before session 1 begins. We will be using roll20 for maps and combats, discord for voice chat, and D&Dbeyond for character sheet upkeep and rolling. There is an extension (beyond20) that allows you to roll on D&DBeyond and it port it over to roll20 and I have found it to be super effective. So that will be used as well.
What to expect.
Payment for games is as follows: $100 paid before the end of the month to be allowed to play in the next month of games. We only play 4 times a month allowing me to take a break on any month that has a 5th day of the week that we play on.
I know $100 a month can sound steep to play D&D but that is $25 a session for the four sessions we play a month and less than $5 an hour for the four hours that we play together. I put a lot of time and energy into making these games enjoyable for you and tailored to each group. This is my full time job so I can focus on my games and only my games. I also have reviews of the players I currently have in my games to help attest to the fact that this game will indeed be worth the price tag.
Once we get everyone into the game, we will spend the week before session 1, introducing ourselves, creating characters, and going over general lore in the discord. This is our session zero. You do not pay for this intro into the world and character creation. We will work together to build backstories that tie into the world. This allows for more immersion into the story. We will discuss what type of game we are all wanting to play, where and how we wish to start, and if any of our characters have connected backstories. With this completed we can go into the first session with a running jump.
The first actual session is free.
Parting words
I understand that paying money to play this game can sometimes be off putting. But when you consider the man hours I put into creating an immersive campaign story for you to play, D&Dbeyond content, as well as other purchases I make to run a great campaign, it is almost nothing to pay for the numerous hours of enjoyment that you will receive in return. It not only assures my level of commitment but the other players as well. If you are concerned at all about my quality as a Dungeon Master I have 18 players currently paying for my games, and dozens more, that I have played with in the past, who would vouch for my ability.
I do require my players to be 18+, this allows for more mature topics to be discussed, but other than that all are welcome to apply. I can work with any skill level from the just watched CritRole (or other D&D media) and want to play to the old timers playing since before I was born. Something I have to add is, be open to constructive criticism, old players and new alike, we are playing a collaborative storytelling game together. If someone has an issue with something that happened we should be able to settle it as adults. If that is not something you think you can do I ask that you please find another game. If you can, then I will welcome you with open arms to our (virtual) table.
I also have a contract of basic understanding to review and sign for players who decide this is the right fit for them. Which of course isn't signed until after their first session and they decide to stay with me.
Check out this link for review from my players currently in my games:
If you have made it this far in the post I commend you. I hope to see you at the table playing alongside me in this amazing new adventure. Bonus points if you can name the nine villains who rule the lands.
If you are at all interested in playing a game with me please respond to this post with the following:
Name(nickname is fine): Age: Pronouns: Time zone: How long have you been playing DnD: What got you into DnD: Preferred style of game: Discord tag: Anything I should know: Questions for me:
Hiya! I was wanting to apply for the Tuesday group if possible
Name: My name is Cody, though I go by several nicknames from all of the different games I play, and am fine with my birth name to character name and pretty much anything in between so long as it isn't malicious. Age: 24 Pronouns: I am He/Him (gay if it matters) Time Zone: EST How long have you been playing DnD: 5-6 years of tabletop dnd with friends or online, and a couple more added on with games like Neverwinter and Baldur's gate. My father played it as I was growing up, and I grew up watching it happen. What got you into DnD: My father played a lot of D&D RPG based games and I would watch him play as a child, Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn being an extremely nostalgic part of my nights where we would play together, him controlling while I told him what to do. As I got older I began to branch out and play games like WoW which also had the core values of D&D before my friends and I created our own club in my senior year of High School. We met every Wednesday and had a blast with our haphazard childish understanding of the game. Since then, I've been playing online and meeting new people and discovering new worlds, and its been quite an incredible journey that I very much want to continue. Preferred Style of Game: When I first started playing D&D I was a very combat oriented player, probably around a 90/10 split. As I've gotten older and been in more games I'd say I'm more of a 55 combat oriented and 45 story oriented player. I love being able to utilize spells in interesting ways to change the flow of battle and I love the thrill of accomplishing a task that felt like a challenge. On the flip side though I love a good story, and while I'm not amazing at it, I enjoy getting into character and acting out situations - furthering a point in a story and the emotions and challenges it creates. I will say though, it does take a small bit of time for me to get comfortable with new people and feel the situation out, so I might be a bit rusty at the start. Discord Tag: Shaded#2226 Anything I should know?: I tend to play magic casters most of the time and do typically fall into a healer/support role, and I'm currently trying to find a campaign where I can play a character I've worked on for a while and let him grow, but I also have some other ideas that I could try out as well. That being said, I may have been a little wordy in my above replies so I think I'll spare the run on thoughts here XD. I'm just looking to have a good time and hang out with some awesome people who love a good story. Questions for me: At the moment I have a few slight ones, but nothing too major. I also have a friend who is a part of one of your Tuesday campaign that has given me information so my main concerns are all answered.
As for the villains. I doubt I can name them all, but because of the Once Upon a Time statement and dragons I feel really good about Maleficent. Emerald Dominion gives me Wizard of Oz vibes, but I'm not quite sure who the villain is, I don't know if "You're a good witch, or a bad witch?" after all. Mirror's Edge gives me some Snow White vibes (Evil Queen) "Magic mirror on the wall." Miller's Fortune makes me think of something akin to Rumplestiltskin but I'm not quite sure. Rogue Vale makes me think about something similar to Robin Hood but I'm again, not quite sure. As for the rest, I have no clue XD
Hi, I would like to join the Sunday campaign, if possible.

Just wanted to share with you…. A 4 hour session at $25 per session is $6.25 an hour, not less than $5 an hour. Unless you’re already accounting for the additional fees (and maybe taxes) that get taken out of your pay depending where you live, how you do taxes and what payment type you use.
Anywuay I’d be interested but unfortunately I am seeking a game where it’s a bit earlier start time. Good luck, sounds like your players have fun! Also don’t stress about the voices!
