Hello! As seen above, I'm a decently inexperienced, wannabe dm, looking for a group of players with a lot of patience to partake in a relatively loose, likely often improvised dnd campaign of indeterminable length. Think the kind of table experience you might have in your teens, run out of one of your classmate's basements, except with no provided snacks, and no parents to complain about your volume.
New players are welcome, as I have experience with the functions of the game itself, but regardless of experience I would prefer to be involved in the character creation process, both for the sake of developing plans and to know what sources are being pulled from. I do have a concept of where to start and several story beats, elements, and side-quests I would like to eventually incorporate, but the main story I would like to develop with the starting party's characters in mind.
I only have physical copies of the books, but I got a few of them, so
