I've played many art role play games over the course of 10 years, but I've done a tabletop once a lot of years ago. I am VERY new to DnD and currently learning the rules of play. MOTW interests me too, and I can learn the rules of that. I've also played several board games.
I played a changeling in that one DnD game and have wanted to play one since. I'm looking to play a character whose curiosity is their curse. Even though I'd like to play a changeling, finding a good game takes precedence.
I'd prefer a game that isn't run in a group on discord. By that, I mean like there's one campaign with a group of people, and the world lore is easy to follow. I have been invited to discord DnD groups that require sign-up sheets and have a lot going on in channels, and I'd like to simplify the gameplay for my first go. I am down to learn different methods of play, i.e. roll20, skype, etc. I'm okay joining a discord for the game/communication, but I'd prefer it only to be a discord for the campaign.
I will start a job soon where I get off at 4:15 pm CST Mon-Fri, free on the weekends. I am 27 and would prefer to play with people that are either around this age or older. Sorry, my new job will involve working with Minors, and this will be my break.
DM me or comment below! I'm so excited to start playing DnD finally. I've experienced burn-out, and this is one of the starts of me finding hobbies that sound fun again.
