Newish dm looking for players!

I've been a dm before, but I want this to be my first homebrew campaign! I can get more into it during session 0, but the main premise is that the entire world is covered in ocean and the majority of people live on a large number of islands scattered all over the world.

I live in EST and am pretty flexible with time.

I'd like to have a decent amount of roleplay and character stuff.

18+ but I don't want to get too NSFW.

Whatever you want your character backstory to be we can fit it into somewhere!
