Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online - Foundry VTT for visuals, Discord for audio. Experience: DM - 18yrs of TTRPG experience. Players - We take all kinds and have fresh faces and hardcore veterans alike. Location/Timezone: EST. Schedule: Tables run Monday through Friday all starting at 7pm EST. Roles sought: Looking for players for most days. Game style: A shared, open world, sandbox where your exploration is rewarded and your actions have consequences!
Looking for Players for parallel campaigns in an original setting!
Have you ever wanted to play in a game where your choices can impact the world in a real way, felt by real people? Atlas Spire presents that very opportunity! I run a table of players Monday through Friday at 7pm EST. Each group coexists in the same realm, meaning the exploits (or failings) of one group can have consequences that can be observed by every group. Failure to stop a villainous scheme by one group, may envelop the world in a deep grey fog that makes travel difficult, or may give way to a massive world shattering golem who moves mountains to destroy entire cities!
The world is also very much alive through the magic of my own work. Events occur and villains make their moves whether the PCs are prepared to intervene or not. Ignore news about mysterious animal deaths? Come back later to find the region has been overwhelmed by a plague, and the bodies are reanimating into worm-riddled creatures.
Because the nature of the game is very open-world and sandbox, a lot of maps and locations already exist as permanent fixtures, and are populated with rare and unique magic items ( most of which are high quality homebrew from very talented patreon pages!) This means these artifacts have a specific location, and finding them means asking about rumors, picking up clues and treasure maps, and just general exploration. The intrinsic desire to find out what lies beyond the next hill or within those ruins you charted in the forest will actually be rewarded!
And because this is a multi-group endeavor through one campaign world, we have a shared communal discord where you're encouraged to hang out, chat about the game.
Sign ups are $20. If the price tag is too steep, message me and I'll gladly work with you to try and get you in this game. I'd love to host for free, but truthfully it is a massive endeavor that takes up a lot of my time. Coordinating five groups, creating my own plot-driving generators, and just tracking everything in general is very time consuming, but it makes for a great game and I don't think anybody else could do it better. I'm a stay at home dad doing his best, and requesting that I'm compensated for this effort helps me and my family.
My Discord tag is See Creature866#6036 feel free to add me and ask any questions!
The only seats remaining are as follows (LAST UPDATE - 7/7/22):
Hello again everyone! Still looking to fill a group on Tuesday, no players currently signed up for that day yet. Every other group is currently having some times... For example, this coming week;
Group A will be in their 3rd session. Haven't left the town they started in. Have become wanted criminals responsible for murdering a noble Paladin (in their defense, he started it.)
Group C will be plundering an ancient temple, searching for Goblin river marauders, and dealing with the self-proclaimed "Dark Knight" in their group losing his cool to unseen influences.
Group D will be embarking on their first session, an expedition to the Northern Charmes, a frozen hellscape with no redeemable qualities to meet a man with a mysterious offer.
Group E will be reuniting after half the party got entangled in a missing Druidic circle plot, and the others are back in town preparing for a ritual to discover the Tarrasque while overcoming a conspiracy by the local government to keep a creature capable of annihilating the realm a secret. Also they're wanted criminals. (Again, probably not their fault.)
Sound like a good time to you? Let me know! My discord tag and Start.Playing account are listed above, and most tables still have room for new players. If you've got friends trying to find a good group, I've got a whole table on Tuesday waiting for you!
It's been a hot minute since I updated this. I've honestly just been so busy playing the game that I forgot to tell people about it. Anyway, after taking this current week off for the holiday, I've got my head more above the water and am ready to pick up some more of you lovely potential players. To talk a little bit about the plot lines for next week each group is looking at;
Group A - After murdering an overzealous Paladin who was being extremely tough on petty crimes, the group was framed for a number of other crimes and run out of town. Currently looking for a place to hide in one of the most hostile mountains known to man. A serious survival / on-the-run motif for this group.
Group B - Hired to find a blind dragon who may have accidentally made off with a significant amount of religious idols and treasures. Also hired to delve into an ancient tomb and discover it's original purpose. Decided to tackle the tomb first, and currently in the middle of it. This group plays highly tactical and makes very deliberate actions. Like old-school dungeon crawls? This group is into it.
Group C - Currently dealing with the revelation that a local political rival has facilitated the raids against their frontier town. Trying to gather their strength, survive against the hostilities of the jungle island, and navigate the political landscape among a bunch of colonists sharing the island with them. Political intrigue mixed with some survival elements here for Group C. Social interactions your thing? This is where you belong!
Group D - Recently fought off some Remorhaz in an ancient ruin trying to navigate their way to the town they were supposed to dock at. Have been struggling to survive amidst the arctic wasteland where the ship wrecked and are fairly certain they're walking the right direction... This group has largely been stuck in the wastelands since their inception. If you're looking to join a new group of fresh faces, this one is it for you!
Group E - While investigating the murder of a Druidic Circle in a sacred grove, uncovered an ancient temple dedicated to "the new gods." The fact that it seems to be protected by some giant Couatls seems to lend some credence to the notion. Heavily involved in the workings of the "powers above" if you like divine driven quests and motifs, Group E has you covered!
Sound like fun to you? Let me know! Add me on discord and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Got a couple of friends looking to play? I'll happily talk about group rate discounts. Happy hunting friends!
