This is a West March set (loosely) in the Spelljammer setting, with an aesthetic of steampunk mixed with Treasure Planet.
You are a homeowner on the frontier world of Paradise, and last year storms in the phlogiston (the vast expanse between the crystal spheres that house stars and worlds) cut the world off from all outside trade, leaving it to fend for itself well before it was ready to be self-sufficient.
The settlers of the city of Solace, where you live, have to deal with pirates, strange local abominations, man-eating beasts in the wilds, and the looming risk of starvation. Some few try to devise ways to get offworld again, many others are trying to keep the city from sinking into starvation and lawlessness, and most are just trying to stay alive in turbulent times.
=== #Time Zone: Sessions tend to be mid afternoon to late evening EST, starting most commonly at 8pm EST. #Levels: Starting level is 3rd. Level range is 3-10, with the average being around 7. #Gameplay: This West March has a mix of heavy roleplay (voicing your character is highly encouraged) and combat. The exact ratio of combat, exploration and roleplay depends on the session and DM. Sessions are voiced, and we use Roll20 for maps, dice and character sheets and Discord for voice, scheduling, and text roleplay. #Edition: 5th Edition. All official classes and spells are permitted. Currently we allow the PHB, Volo’s, SCAG, and Tasha’s for races. #Homebrew/UA Permitted?: No. #Players: Looking for 3-4 new people with a particular focus on people looking to join a roleplaying community and get into character. #Pay-for-Play: No.

I'm a relatively experienced player who played alot of AD&D in The 80's as a teen and came back to the game in 2019 and have been playing on Roll20 and Foundry as much as I can.
My current Frostmaidencampaign just ended and I'm looking for something new and I'd love to get into a new game. . I enjoy both sides of the game and right now would really enjoy some good RP. And I love doing voices! Just ask my kids who complain whenever I walk around the house trying a new accent
CHARACTER IDEA: Firbolg, Circle of the Forest DruidI have some great thoughts on this character and his personality, you know how sometimes they just come to you so clearly. Definitely a fun loving guy. He's got a little of The Dude, an little of Wooderson from Dazed and Confused, a little bit of a hippie (he is a Druid after all) but will definitely be able to throw down when needed.
But I could easily play something else to balance the party if you need me too
I love the world building you did!!! Looks
like an interesting setting. ! I hope you still have space and would love to chat more. I'm also at : nino#4408 on Discord
Hey UltimoPanda, I'm Mathew, GilleeDoo#7170 on Discord. I am in PST with a schedule that fits your time frame. I can dedicate Wednesday, Friday, or the weekend days to the campaign.
I have 3+ years playing 5e and many more playing other RPGs, such as most of the original TSR RPGs, including the original D&D and AD&D back in the 80's. I have also played Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, and Star Wars FFG RPG.
I have a number of character ideas and have a gang of D&D Beyond characters waiting to be given a life. I typically play support characters that can get other party members out of difficult situations. I am not an optimizer when building my characters, I am most interested in utilizing fun and creative skill sets that fit the theme and background of the character. I generally play friendly, good aligned characters. In real life I am a rule follower and can't shake that to play evil characters. I love creating characters that I hope most find interesting, with well thought out backgrounds, character appearance, and roles/abilities that would support the group. I am willing to fill most roles in a diverse party and I am always interested in joining other players with a linked backstory.
I am very dependable when it comes to showing up every session, on time ready to play. I have access to an excellent headset mic, D&D Beyond Master subscription, free version of Roll20 account, and a Fantasy Grounds account.
Thank you in advance for your consideration. Take it easy!

Looking for one person who is a solid fit to round out the campaign, maybe two. Message me here or on Discord to discuss!

Still looking for an extra person to join in who is a good fit. Maybe two.
The setting has largely opened up and players are no longer trapped in just one crystal sphere by storms.

Still recruiting. :]
