New player looking for group in Phoenix AZ, or to be a DM if a group cannot be found.

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Face-to-face in the west valley (Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Avondale, Tolleson, Surprise Area)
Experience: Have watched a lot of streamed play, but haven't played as a player yet. I have DM'd one game with my cousins it lasted 7 hour before it devolved when one of my cousins stole all the loot and took off prompting a fight. I realize now that I could have headed this off.
Location/Time zone: Arizona MST, West Valley (Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Avondale, Tolleson, Surprise El Mirage Area) 
Availability: looking for 7pm and later on weekdays or anytime weekends
Preferred role: Player but if I cant find a group I will DM
Game style: Mostly a casual game I'm new to this. I want to focus on combat slightly more than on roleplay. 60/40 combat to roleplay. Looking for LGBT friendly game. But not too keen to focus on Adult themes. I prefer Maps for combat to allow for more straight forward use of tactics.

Edited to add: If I DM I will be looking to run Lost Mine of Phandelver with a slightly homebrew history
