Edit: Just as an update, I've accepted an invitation for now. Thanks.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online, video or voice preferably Experience: New, I've yet to play a game but I've spent quite a bit of time reading the Player's Handbook and have had fun making characters to see how it works. I've also watched others play. I think I have a basic grasp of how to play without slowing things down too much and I'm really enthusiastic about learning the game, so my hope is I'd be able to get up to speed quite quickly. But yes, short answer: New, learning Location/Timezone: UK, GMT+1 Availability: Best days for me are Saturday and/or Wednesday but I am also free most but not all Mondays and Thursdays. Flexible with time/timezone within reason, I keep odd hours. Preferred role: Player Game style: I'm new, so I guess a casual group might be a fit for me. But again, I'm flexible and am open to suggestions.
About me: I'm not sure what to include as extra info, but I've seen age and pronouns included elsewhere so I'll start there: I'm in my 30's and use She/Her.
I'm equal parts nervous and excited in wanting to play D&D, the reason I'm excited enough to fight past the nerves and search for a group is the creativity and imagination involved in the storytelling/role-playing and even combat. Makes me smile daydreaming about it.
I don't really have a favourite class or anything at the moment. There's loads I'd like to try out over time, but I appreciate that it might be easier for me to start with something that doesn't have spells (although I believe I do understand how they work).
I have a Discord account I can use (Quiet as a Zosa#3300), as well as that I have done the tutorial on Roll20 and would be willing to learn any other tool that I might not have heard about yet. Although I should say I have an elderly laptop at the moment and would probably be slightly limited by that if there is anything really fancy out there that you use.
Sorry if I've missed anything, it's been a long time since I've posted in a forum or similar.
