This is a West March set (loosely) in the Spelljammer setting, with an aesthetic of steampunk mixed with Treasure Planet.
You are a homeowner on the frontier world of Paradise, and last year storms in the phlogiston (the vast expanse between the crystal spheres that house stars and worlds) cut the world off from all outside trade, leaving it to fend for itself well before it was ready to be self-sufficient.
The settlers of the city of Solace, where you live, have to deal with pirates, strange local abominations, man-eating beasts in the wilds, and the looming risk of starvation. Some few try to devise ways to get offworld again, many others are trying to keep the city from sinking into starvation and lawlessness, and most are just trying to stay alive in turbulent times.
Recently in the campaign the storms in the phlogiston stopped, so the vast expanse is available for full exploration once again.
=== #Time Zone: Sessions tend to be mid afternoon to late evening EST, starting most commonly at 8pm EST. #Levels: Starting level is 5th. Level range is all over the place, with the average being around 9. #Gameplay: This West March has a mix of heavy roleplay (voicing your character is highly encouraged) and combat. The exact ratio of combat, exploration and roleplay depends on the session and DM. Sessions are voiced, and we use Roll20 for maps, dice and character sheets and Discord for voice, scheduling, and text roleplay. #Edition: 5th Edition. All official classes and spells are permitted. Currently we allow the PHB, Volo’s, SCAG, and Tasha’s for races. #Homebrew/UA Permitted?: No. #Players: Looking for 3-4 new people with a particular focus on people looking to join a roleplaying community and get into character. #Pay-for-Play: No.

Hey, I'm interested in learning more about this. Never done a West March before but love the aesthetic you're describing. Look for a request from GreatestShowman#1495
