First time ever playing D&D.

The title lied... I have played before but not since I was about 8... (21 years ago)

I'm not going to lie. I'm somewhat clueless about what I'm looking for but I playes world of warcraft and other RPG'S for the last 17 years or so. 

I have installed the app and have made a wood elf bard. That's as far as I have got. 

I am also watching a lot of videos on the game and am trying to learn as mush as I can while I wait for a campaign opening.
