Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face (with downtime discussions over Discord) Experience: Any. Location/Timezone: Tucson, AZ Schedule: Every other Sunday at 4 pm. Roles sought: 1-3 more players Game style: Mix of roleplay, organizing for a journey, and hack 'n slash. Room is given for characters to be creative, so long as everyone understands they won't be in the same place for long.
Ever get tired of always being in the same place? Go here, come back, go there, come back. The homebrew Journey of the Ancient Abyssal Anchor is designed to try to keep the group on the road. The group is tasked with delivering a very large, very heavy, very magic-resistant object to the other side of the world. Rather than having a guild hall to retire to, expect to spend your nights camping or at random inns. Expect to stumble onto a civil war you may avoid or aligned to one side of. Plan on getting to know your horses and hired NPCs who help you caravan. Think Acquistions Incorporated but on a one-way trip.
DM is new and this is the first time doing more than one-shots. Style is very fairly loose for the sake of keeping the game moving. Very "express your intent... okay, you would roll this to try, and I would require this for it to work." Creativity is rewarded. Group will have to make decisions on which way to go, which factions to align with/against/avoid, how fast to travel, and how to handle group expenses over time.
Just sent you a friend request...also looking for an in person gaming group in Tucson. I am a little older then you (55) ....roleplaying games or board games...I'm easy. please respond to my discord!
Hey, I realize that I’m nearly a year late to this post. But I’m in Tucson and would love to join a group—though you’re likely on to a new one at this point. I’ve seen you post on a few different threads so I’m hopping you’re active enough to see this. I’ve also sent you a friend request on Discord (Lukas8118) for easier contact. I’m new to D&D, I’ve only played a few sessions before, and I’m excited to try some more
