Black Sun Is a Hb Setting Designed by me but inspired by works such as dark souls, Darkest dungeon, The lord of the rings and other media I enjoy. It takes place in a world whos lore has been lost to time, all that remains of this world is the constant reminder of a lost world, The black sun looms its voided gave across the earth,  Its dark forces harvesting the land for whatever is left. 
Then there is you, a group of sane Individuals who's bond may be as simple as your lack of aggression with one another.
The campaign will start with a spark of hope, a goal to kill the black sun and restore the land to its former glory.
This journey is  impossible... For now at least.
Each time you reach the black sun you will face its guardian, then if they are defeated you will be too weak to defeat the sun, but with the guardian slain the future will have more of a chance then you. 
Generations play a big role in this campaign, each time a new generation happens (3 total , Each about 8-10 session long for this campaign) traits of your old hero will be passed down, this is to open up game diversity and staleness and create a more engaging (quick) experience. With the world developing more and more the further you delve into it with new eyes. 
Each new hero will come with quirks and flaws that will be carried over and gained threw the game, these are to show improvement and also weakness.
Each new hero will have a out of game magic item designed, it will be added to the world pool of hero items and even if that hero dies, will still be in the pool. so make sure you don't design them primarily focused on just you.
And the game will be difficult, Hb monsters and bosses, although regular items found will be official.

Sounds really interesting. I'm a veteran player and I've been looking for a campaign like this. I enjoy playing in groups where people respect each other and the time set aside for the game while still having fun. I've DM'd a generations type campaign before and love the concept.
