Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online/ voice (English) / maybe video Experience: a couple of oneshots Location/Timezone: Weekdays after 3pm CDT, Thursdays after 5pm CDT Game style: High roleplay with combat
Hello, I am looking for a longterm campaign with a good focus on roleplay and incorporation of PC backstories, no grimdark/super gritty. I am a semi-new player, in that I have played a few one-shots without much focus on RP and have a pretty good grasp of the rules of combat. This would be my first time being able to really practice RP, as I have been looking for a longterm campaign for a while now, but they have fizzled out after the first 1-2 sessions.
Character idea: I have a character I have been dying to play and really explore, an Oath of the Ancients paladin. I would like to play her as fairly cheerful, someone who loves people, and someone who takes a protective role in combat (planning on taking interception as fighting style). I have a full backstory from the dead campaigns, but here's a summary. She was raised to be a standard devotion/crown paladin by her family, who served the local lord. The rule of law prevented her from acting to save lives and she became disillusioned with the devotion tenants, leaving home to look for something new. She will eventually find a shrine in the woods to a deity so ancient all identifying features have been weathered away, leaving only the tenants of the Oath of the Ancients legible. These resonate with her and are what she draws her power from, knowing nothing about this mystery deity.
Ideally, I would like to enter a campaign at the beginning, or close to it, as I don't know how well I will be able to create bonds in an already well-established party, but if you think I would be a good fit I can try. If you think I would be a good fit for your campaign, please contact me either through this thread or through a message so we can discuss. Thank you!
