A Weird Wild Whacky Adventure Summons You

Seeking: Friendly (emphasis on that as I have had to deal with quite a suprising number of players who *WEREN'T* while DMing here) player for a long term homebrew campaign I've been running since January of 2021. We currently have 4 players and are looking for a couple more. You will be starting at level 12.

Style: This is a high fantasy campaign where magic is rampant and common place; but ressurection is impossible. The adventure has a mixture of over the top goofiness - (we battled a Magma Elemental that looked like Te Ka, traveled with a kitty diety, and met a robot dog in a place where the space between dimensions crumbled away.) - but at the same time, our story contains betrayal, lost innocence, hopeless situations, depression and other complicated dark themes. As such, it falls into a whacky dark comedy genre.

Regular Time: Weekly - Wednesdays 5pm-9pm EST (but a level of flexible is required as well. With a group of this size, things come up last minute. We don't want you to have to miss a week if the session day needs to be adjusted.)

Requirements: We will be using DnDbeyond for Character Sheets and Roll20 for our VTT, as well as Discord for our Mics. (This will require the use of a computer, so I politely ask that you do not respond if you do not have one.)

Desire: Story is whacky and weird enough. Not looking for joke characters. Seeking the kinds of characters you would find in a typical DnD campaign. (Don't worry about coming up with complex backstories beforehand. We can flesh that out after discussing the campaign's setting in more detail.) Also, this is a good, clean, violent campaign. {So there will be no swearing, cussing, or sexual jokes allowed}.

Post Note: This is a "Long Term" campaign, so please do not express interest if you only plan on sticking around for a couple months or until there is a slight bump in the road. I've had way too many people ditch me a couple months into a campaign after I put a great many hours, and much in session time, working thier backstories into the world.

Hi! I'm interested in your campaign, if there's any room left! I was particularly drawn to the described atmosphere of your campaign, since I like to have fun while also being unafraid to tackle serious topics. I also don't mind this being a long-term campaign, since I tend to get invested in the development of the narrative and characters.

Regarding experience, I've only played 5e for about a year or two back in 2018 and have been interested in playing more, but unfortunately due to a falling out with our old DM and schedule conflicts, I haven't been able to play for a while. I'm a bit shy in public forums, so this is my first venture into finding people to play with outside of my usual circles!

As for characters, I've had a few sitting on the bench waiting to be played since designing characters for EVERYTHING is my special interest. The current character I'm most excited to play is a magical girl inspired genielock, but I have plenty other characters of other classes to play if it doesn't fit!

DnD experience: I have played roughly 2 years of Dnd experience. 

Possible character idea would be either a Half elf rogue subclass soul knife or a blood hunter Order of Lycan

Something about myself is that I tend to overthink stuff and that I don’t really leave my comfort zone so this would be a big leap of getting out of that comfort zone.
