I'm 50 yo and looking to reengage in proper D&D having last played in the 1980s. I've kept up via online PC games such as Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights as well lurking on YouTube following a number of the D&D broadcasters such as the Dungeon Dudes. I have my own business that I run from home so I can be quite flexible timewise. Formal details are as follows:
AUS/Melbourne time-zone - available most times with the probable exception being Thursday evenings.
New/old player LFG online.
I'd love to Play and have always had a penchant for Wizards, but one can always be flexible. Some of my best memories are of playing an Elven Wizard who was on the face of it, a carefree and seemingly frivolous character, but underneath was more capable than he let on. If anyone can include me in a group I'd love to experiment with a Bladesinger. In terms of style I've always liked the Forgotten Realms and Lord of the Rings sort of settings rather than the more boutique ones (Spelljammer etc.). Drow, the Underdark, great cities all provide for great backdrops to encounters, stories and campaigns.
I look forward to hearing from aspiring DMs and fellow enthusiasts.
