Welcome to the continent of Fal’drin!

Game: D&D 5e

Group type: Online – Discord, D&DBeyond and Roll20

Experience: No prior experience needed, but need to be willing to learn rules

Location/Timezone: Timezone is CEST or UTC+2

Schedule: Once a week – likely on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday (but this can change, depending on players); from around 6PM – 11PM onwards, also depending on player preference

Roles sought: Looking for 4-5 Players to form a reliable group

Game style: A wide variety of all things fantasy! This means that there will be light-hearted evenings spent in your favourite tavern, but also brutal fights against morally ambiguous foes! Nothing is just black and white, and nothing is ever as it seems. (But to add to that, it will not be a number crunching, gritty game of realism!)

General premise:

Adventurers! Avast! The summons of her Radiance, Empress Scarlet Nightshade have pulled you all into the midst of the treacherous waters of the expansive Obsidian Sea. Glory, riches, favours only whispered in the wind await those that follow the call into the midst of the isolated continent of Fal’drin! There, at the heart of one of its countries, Aeonia, the Empress expects those of valour and cunning.

However, strange mutterings have surfaced of the young Empress that so gloriously rose after the brutal wars of succession that rocked Aeonia to its very core. Talks of muted figures, their mouths sewn shut and their eyes locked in a distant gaze, roaming the streets as enforcers of her will. Further, rumours of a strange, black mist that has settled in the heart of the Empire shake even old souls within its borders. With their government uprooted so recently, the people of Aeonia’s only choice was to strengthen their faith in their ruler and the deities, that no longer roam the material plane.

Band together and explore this vast continent of wonder, magic, but also treachery, political intrigue and beings far beyond the scope of any mortal!

After/if enough people sign up, I will invite them to a specifically made Discord server, where we will discuss more specifics! There is going to be a Session Zero discussing characters, specific scheduling and general important information. Of course, it should be mentioned that EVERYONE is welcome at my table! LGBTQ+ friendly! I want to strive for the most comfortable environment possible for everyone involved.

I would also like to keep it friendly and cultivate a good group together! For that matter, the Age Requirement will be 18 (17 is okay in some cases)! English doesn't need to be your native language (neither is it mine), but a good grasp of the English language is something I need to deliver a good performance for the group.

HOWEVER, please be aware that I am not simply looking to play D&D! If you are just wanting to play a quick one-shot, or come to the session once a week and want nothing else to do with the group, then this might not be for you! Nobody can force friendship, that much is obvious, but my partner and I would like to create not only a D&D group, but also a group of friends that want to be around each other. So, if you are entering this, please keep an open mind and if the chemistry is right, please don’t close yourself off to the possibility of other activities (e.g. Game nights, chats, fun group activities etc.).
