New Player LFG for Long Term Campaigns

This is my 2nd shot at a post, understanding that I was sparse with info:

I'm a completely new player, looking for my first campaign. I've read DragonLance and other fantasy worlds lore for decades, from Star Wars EU to Pern. I've also played the same, DragonLance based mud (text game) online since the mid 90s, so mechanics and rolls I understand. I've just never had anyone to physically play with.

I'm located in the states, Eastern time, but I would actually prefer earlier than normal. I am open to any day of the week, as I work from home. But I wake very early, so I would love to find an afternoon game. For this reason, if you're EU, I'd love to hear if you're open to having a player from the states. The timing just fits nicely. I tend to play a lot of EU servers online for that same reason.

I do know that I'm most interested in straightforward, basic DnD campaigns as I begin. I'd like to learn the basics before I get into too many wild iterations. I also know that I'm less interested in the one shot type of gameplay, so I'm looking for a true campaign to start out. I'm also most interested in finding a static group that actually builds a group together. I do understand the shorter type of play appeals for some people, but I'd like the epic saga type of feel.
