I'm looking for an online game as a player, I play in one campaign weekly with friends but my new obsession is D&D, and the waiting is killing me. Preferably all of the people in this campaign would be adults, definitely no one under 17. I'm not much of an experienced roleplayer, but I'd love the opportunity to give it a try and have a good balance of combat too. Let me know if you are a DM or player who knows one, and let me know if there's any important info I left out.
Aest is a day and two hours ahead of me I believe. It really depends on the type of game you are looking for. For example, I run an adult pbp 3.5 mix, home brew world game. Mostly friday nights and saturdays during the day, with weekly interjections for players doing their own thing. It's a very choose your own adventure type of set up, but I am rather intolerant of trolls or people who want to ruin the fun for everyone else or be murder hobos. The setting is medium fantasy and some sci fi. What version of the game are you looking to play? How would you like to play? What sort of setting would you prefer? What level of playing would you like (i.e. serious/relaxed/casual/one shot/etc)?

I only know 5e, I once played a 3.5e game but I forgot the rules and I'm not currently looking to learn a new edition. Plus I have a bunch of characters for 5e ready. Any setting works unless it's excessively miserable and "gritty", I need at least a nugget of light-heartedness. I'm looking for a campaign that lasts some time and I can get invested in, not a oneshot.
