Household - 5e Homebrew DnD Game Looking for Players
I am a DM, starting up an in-person game in the Mount Prospect / Des Plaines suburbs of Illinois. Beginning sessions will be held at the Mount Prospect Library.
Long term campaign, but starting with a few one shots to help us get to know each other.
Schedule: Meet twice a month
Campaign Setting:
Players of Household take on the role of littlings, little beings inspired by the Little Folk from European folklore. Together, these littlings will have little great adventures that span some of the most troubled years in the history of the House
Influences:
Heavily based off the upcoming game Household being published through Kickstarter. But converted and homebrewed for DND 5e, by me!
Players of Household take on the role of littlings, little beings of the Little Folk from European folklore. Together, these littlings will go on to live little great adventures that span some of the most troubled years in the history of the House, beginning at the end of the First Household War and living in the shadow of a new threat. It was a magical period when all Folks came together in new alliances despite old disagreements, a time of ideological and industrial revolutions. All this, while always on the brink of a diplomatic incident.
This campaign will have adventure, intrigues, and social interactions set in a large abandoned House. It takes place in a world that resembles the first years of our 19th century, in which each room constitutes a proper nation you can explore.
DM Style / History:
My name is Brian, I'm 41 years old, and I’ve been playing DnD since the beginning of 5e. I’m married and I have a 5 year old daughter, and a new baby on the way. I have a degree in theater, so I enjoy the roleplaying aspects of the game, but I love to homebrew and mess around with the mechanics of the game as well. I’m a reactive DM, so the game will focus on character and player driven story.
I've DM'd since the beginning of 5e, I've run multiple multi-year campaigns. I'm currently closing out a D&D 5e campaign lasting over 6 years.
My games are open and accepting of everyone from all walks of life, my games are lgbtqia friendly, and will follow game safety guidelines as we get to know each other, and learn to play at the table with each other.
Intro Sessions
I’m planning to run a few one-shots, at the Mount Prospect Library, in one of the library's work / study rooms. We can use these one shots to get to know each other. Once we are all comfortable gaming with each other, we can discuss gaming at my place, in Mount Prospect.
