We are a group of three players and a GM, from all across Europe. We play on Monday evenings at 19:00 GMT, and on occasions we can’t make it sometimes try to rearrange for Thursdays at the same time. We’ve been playing together a little while and have just hit level 3.
We are a chatty bunch, and are looking for another fun-loving player looking for adventure. We tend to do a little more RP and exploration than combat, but when combat does occur, our GM has never gone especially easy on us! We are looking for a similarly-minded player eager to join our group. The general dynamic is: we have a crotchety old gnome wizard who doesn’t get along with anyone, a sneaky and argumentative Owlin ranger, and an overworked teacher wizard who desperately tries to hold the group together.
The current set-up is that we are looking to hunt a notorious pirate. The world is made up of various islands and archipelagos, and we have found ourselves with an airship. This is something way more powerful than we should have and is way above our paygrade. We acquired this ship through means of a magical wish on a mythical island after meeting a powerful witch, and it is only just dawning on us how sought-after/valuable/powerful this island and witch are.
We are currently in a bustling town on a small island with a cove. We’ve made an agreement with the Governor to hunt this notorious pirate – both for money, and because we know they are seeking this magical island that we’ve collectively decided should be hidden from as many people as possible. This is a great break to introduce a new member of the crew – maybe someone with knowledge of the seas or pirate-hunting experience – or really anything you think might fit! A less squishy character would be really helpful.
So im looking for a campaign/group to play with lots of roleplay, charakter development and Storytelling but i also like tactical combat. Which i think might fit. I played DSA (The dark eye in english) for i think 5 years and its very lore heavy and establishes a setting / world in great detail but lacks some combat depths. And by that i mostly mean usability.... the rules can get a bit rediculously in detail but thats another topic. For DnD i started to play in another group a months ago but that is very roleplay light. Although i have not much practical experience i think i got most the core rules down and am not a complete newbie to dnd.
Charakter concepts? I like Multiclassing - a lot. So my first one is a Warlock/barbarian who tries to get a lot of value from Armor of agathyst and should feel like a Deathknight from WoW. So hed be a lot about frosty stuff and wielding a big weapon. Another one would be a Barbarian Tiefling who uses the Path of the Ancestral Guardian who protects their allies with Spectral demons, which i find fairly ironic. Another one was a elderly gnome monk who uses Astral self to project himself to have Giant gorilla arms so he contrasts as a very frail old man and then using his astral self to become a Jacked Gorilla. I think thats enough for now and im sure i could cook up something else entirely if need be.
So if that doesnt sound to bad hit me up on Discord Dérwish#1443
Age: Y'all a nosey bunch but since you ask nicely 49.
Pronouns: he/him.
Experience and a little about yourself: New to 5e but have a lot of enthusiasm for the hobby. I played 2e a long time ago, generally familiar with D&D having played other systems in the past Looking to join a campaign and have fun.
Broad character(s) concept(s): How about a Seafarin' Dwarven Cleric?
I started gaming in college in the early 80's with 2nd edition. Yes that makes me in my 60s. I've just started playing online with dndbeyond and discord.
Looks like you need a seafaring rogue whos running away from something on land.
Discord is Randall#1513
Lyle Greenleaf male halfing rogue with sailing exp.
Experience and a little about yourself: Played DnD and other rpgs since I was 17. so, that is a while. I am looking for a regular game on a weekdayevening, and the Mondays suits me just fine. I enjoy a good laugh mixed in with our heroic deeds (or lack thereof) and the mix of the current story does appeal to me.
Broad character(s) concept(s): So many! I played a lot of different ones over the years and there are more ideas than I can play in a lifetime. I tend to play (full) Spellcasters or do weird muliclass shenanegans. if you are saying "pirates/airship/islands/tanky" , then what comes to mind is a Moon druid (tortle perhaps) that has a firm interest in keeping that island a secret for some reason, a genie warlock with either a Djinni or Marid patron who is initially mostly interested in that airship and hw it works, or some human scoundrel that would fit a flashy sailor/pirate stereotype (that would be some weird multiclass sillyness)
Experience and a little about yourself: 6 years, mostly DMing. I've ran multiple systems over the 6 years, including 5e, PbtA, Palladium, Cortex, GoT, Prowlers and Paragons, and even created my own TTRPG. I play 3 instruments, learning to sing as well. Game enthusiast, Animal lover, and love to cook. Anything else you wanna know, just ask. I'm kinda an open book, lol.
Broad character(s) concept(s): Looks like you guys need a front liner. Maybe also a healer. So, a Cleric or Druid could work for that. If there is a partial Healer, maybe a Paladin. Fighter would be my 3rd option. Don't want to give you a load of backstory as I prefer making the characters to fit the world, instead of forcing you to reshape the world to fit a character.
Name of player: Eirin Towne, Name of character: Lady Eilfina Grandiloquence Voldevie
Age player: 52 chronologically, any age mentally, Age of character: 91 human years
Pronouns: both females
Experience and a little about us: Player has fallen in love with Dungeons and Dragons through watching "Lawyers and Dragons" on YouTube, they have become my imaginary friend group. As my character, I have tended to fall outside of the norms most of my life, and also outside of group memberships, so when I first wanted to try DnD 13 or so years ago, the only friend I had who played would not let me join his group. I would have taken that as a slight, except for knowing that he had played religiously every week for years with the same group, and they were just past the middle of a high level campaign. Instead, my debut happened a couple of weeks ago, being thrown in at the deep end at level 5. Despite deliberately not carrying weapons, Lady Eilfina drew first blood on a hag, and also ended up with the first and last kill during that campaign. It ended too suddenly, in my opinion, without any damage to my character at all, and with an insane amount of gold coins acquired. My meat shield is frail, so I spend most of my time sitting with a laptop literally in my lap, on the eternal search for my drug of choice: understanding and mastery. I have a lot of real life experience from many countries, and strangely tend to be described as the "cool teacher" by younger people, whereas people closer to my own age or older tend to focus on the inside of my brain. That is fine, after all, my body is just an instrument I use to transport my brain to interesting places...

Experience and a little about yourself: I've played in several campaigns for about 2 years now! Familiar with most of the systems used and happy to learn about anything I haven't come across. I don't have knowledge of most of the books or the lore but I'm getting there. I'm from the UK so times suit me perfectly. I'm always on time and would love to get committed to a new campaign. In my free time I love to do DIY projects and I also play golf. If you want to know anything further about me don't hesitate to hit me up on discord which I put next to my name. I'm an open book and happy to discuss anything :D
Broad character(s) concept(s): How about a Bugbear Fighter! With limbs long enough to row the ship and a halberd to suit! He's been in the pirate trade for around 5 years now and he's looking for a new start. He wants to jump ship so to speak. He's versatile yet a tad bit dull, Hell of a guy to have a mead with though and discuss the mishaps of his adventures! You'd usually find him trying to pick a fight with the captain. He expects a full share and a bit more to boot! After all he does think he does most of the work.
