**The Keeper's Hands**
*Roughly six years ago the wards protecting Candlekeep, and it's vast collection of books, were absorbed by a lich who was attempting to become the new deity of magic.  He was defeated by Elminster in the end, but the wards protecting against things as simple as mold, bugs, fire, and theft are no longer protecting the keep.  And while there are spellcasters among the Avowed who can make up for these shortcomings on a smaller scale, these protections pale in comparison to what Candlekeep once enjoyed.  Now the Avowed must turn to other methods to try and save their collected lore.  Like the Realms, they at large are in need of heroes.  Thus the Keeper of Tomes formed a small group of adventurers to aid the Keep.  The "Keeper's Hands", as they are called, perform various tasks for the Avowed, in return for a monthly salary and free room and board.*

This will be a Acquisitions Incorporated style Candlekeep Mysteries campaign, where the individual adventures, will be somewhat independent of the others, but still with an overall story arc.  Each adventure will be 1-3 consecutive weekly sessions long and involve the same group of PCs.  The next adventure will then start, possibly with a week or two break for the DM in between, with a new group of PCs (hopefully the same group, but the AI format will allow for PCs to come and go, as there are additional members of the Keeper's Hands.)

I am a relatively new DM.  I prefer to run a serious session for older players (30-40ish), with a good mix of RP, combat and exploration and where the players stay in-character as much as possible for all of it.  I try to run a respectful, inclusive, challenging and intense game, where players enjoyment is the main goal.  The sessions are very 420 friendly.
