Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online & Free (though I don't mind splitting the price for dnd beyond memberships etc. among the group) Experience: A couple oneshots, watching several dnd shows & solo rpg Location/Timezone: CET (German or English is fine) Availability: surrounding time zones or games that are over before 11/12pm CET / 5/6pm EST, I prefer weekly or bi-weekly session and could make mondays (all day), tuesdays (afternoon-evening), sundays and occasionally fridays and saturdays work if we need a second day to resort to due to scheduling issues. Wednesday evenings would also work occasionally but not every week. Preferred role: Player for now Game style: Hi there! After playing a couple oneshots and a few sessions in a local campaign, I'd love to find a online group that plays regularly. I'm 25, she/her and I'm looking for players that are either queer or at least queer-friendly and want to play a game without sexist / racist / discriminatory people. Having witnessed some of the campaigns of friends, I would just like to join a group where everyone is respectful of each other and wants to see the other characters grow as well - people who consistently try to make the game only about them are a pet peeve of mine. Other than that, I love it when backstories and roleplay are incorporated into the game and when the many charisma-based and social possibilities of dnd aren't ignored. I do think that this can be a lot of work for DMs and hope that all the members of the group can therefore contribute in ways to tell a story together and make that load easier. Having said that, I do like combat but would prefer at least a 60/40 ratio of rp/combat. Also love puzzles, horror, or detective-like scenarios!
While I'm not super experienced, I do understand the basic mechanics of the game and want to get into dming at some point but do feel like I still want to grow more confident with the mechanics as a player before that. Finding a long-term group would be awesome and potentially switching roles in a new campaign would be entirely possible - I guess it really depends on the group.
If you are in a group that sounds similar to the one I described or want to start a new campaign with people of a similar mindset, please message me on discord toniboni#5363 or in this thread!
