WELCOME TO WEIRD WORLD!
This campaign follows a group of characters as they battle evil and injustice in Weird World.
Assisted by many friends along the way our party must roam Weird World and right wrongs while battling those with bad vibes! Usually, that evil comes in the form of the Black and Whites, Energy Vampires, and Procrastination.
The world is turning black and white and nobody knows how to stop it and for the first time, the world needs heroes. The forces of good and bad vibes are in an all-out tug-of-war with each other and the good side needs your help to restore colour to the world and stop this boring and humdrum anti-creativity conversion.
What could be behind the black-and-white takeover? Could there be something more sinister at work here? Regardless, expressing one's self has never been more important. Be creative, be bright, and be weird.

WEIRD FLAVOUR!
In Weird World, you can shoot a laser gun, play as a mannequin, and rollerblade all over your enemies.
Whether you're a drag queen from Dragopolis, an 8bit hero from Arcadia, or a rollerblading rebel from 94, there's no wrong way to express yourself here.
Aliens have crash-landed, hags go door-knocking selling cosmetics, and centaurs run horse-girl clubs, the possibilities of who you can be in this world are endless.

HEY FRIENDS AND FIENDS!
My little art studio has been working on an epic D&D project for a good while now and we're looking now to get the wheel fully rolling. I'd really like to give this the best shot possible and so I'm throwing the net far and wide to see what amazing fishies are out there.
Our goals are to run a twitch stream, podcast, and have a youtube account for our own animations.
So, we're looking for some charismatic folks that love roleplaying, getting goofy, and having a wild creative flare. We're looking at the animation being 3D and all character art will be digitally sculpted in blender.

This is an LGBTQIAA+ and POC-friendly game, if you're all jacked up on haterade, please do not apply.

What I'm looking for: Players interested in a light-toned streamed game with the possibility for a lot of emotions. You must be confident with showing your face on the internet. You must work well with others and have an interest in a creative, silly, and artsy game that focuses on storytelling and roleplay.

Game Time: Sunday 2:00pm NZST, Saturday 9:00pm EST, Saturday 5:00pm PST
While we are a kiwi based group, we are open to anyone who can make the timeslot.

Homebrew: Lots of it! The setting is homebrewed and features a lot of homebrew content.

Length: We will be starting somewhere between levels 1-3 and going until it stops becoming fun (Ideally level 11+)

Platform: Discord and Roll20.

Equipment: A good mic and webcam. A quiet place to record and a good internet connection.

Style: Narrative Driven, Roleplay Focused (65/35 RP to Combat)

Theme: Light-hearted and goofy, epic, serious tones.
Inspirations: Adventure Time, Jet Set Radio Future, Kingdom Hearts, Steven Universe, Puppy Cat, Juno Birch, Drag Queens, Wreck-It Ralph

Me as a DM: I love roleplay, voice acting, telling a fun story, and just being a bean. I'm also an artist, nerd, and lovely friendo.

Currently, I have a group of people in a discord server that I've made. I want to find the very best fit and will not be prioritizing my friends who are in the server over any other applicants, everyone has a fair chance.

My Expectations:

• People who can consistently attend the recording/streaming sessions. If you can't make the weekly game, please do not apply.

• I'd really love to see some character ideas that aren't human/human adjacent species, I seek this so that the art I'm producing can be vibrant and unique.

• Charisma and confidence are required

• You must be familiar with the D&D 5e rules and mechanics. This is not a newbie-friendly game.

• Voice acting and expressive gestures are preferred

• There is a bit of lore that needs to be read for character creation and to get a good understanding of the world. Detailed backstories are required. If you do not like reading lore or making detailed backstories, please do not apply.

• A clear mic and webcam are needed as it will be a streamed game, podcast, and youtube series. Having decent equipment will let me be able to edit and pretty things up for production. If you do not have access to these things, I will be unable to consider your application.

• I imagine this project taking at least 9 months for this first campaign and then later seasons having the potential to be longer.

•You must be respectful of all people.

What I'm Doing At The Moment:

• A bum load of sculpted art in Blender for animations and twitch layouts. I'm currently working on the sculpted building art for social media banners and twitch displays.

• Logo design for socials

• I have two potential sponsors that I'm chatting with currently, which I'd hope to secure during this planning process.

• Casting (hello :P)

I really want to jump into this at 100% and start with a high production quality, which is why I'm doing a bunch of art and being quite serious with this casting process. I previously tried to run a podcast but didn't have the skills at the time and my mental health was a little all over the place but now I'm ready to make some magic.
