There once was a temple home to an artifact so powerful that it was hidden behind a key known only by the gods, until about 200 years ago. A group of adventurers who have long since lost their names found the key and the temple as well. Most of them died in the process but eventually the treasure came into contact with mortal hands. The artifact in question was a tome said to hold eternal life, and with it the power to make even the gods cower in fear if in the wrong hands. Once the mortal world learned of this tome chaos broke out, wars were started, and creatures of evil once found only in writing became reality. The tome is said to have the power to end this, but the one who holds it is unknown. After the five provinces became six, and the war of goblins and kobolds began affecting the common crowd, adventurer guilds have become the norm. Can you help restore the world to it’s former self? Or will you crumble like many who have tried before you?
