I’m a new dm who set up a small campaign of interconnected one shots to help me learn how to play. However, one of my players didn’t vibe with the fully online dnd format, having only played in person before. The party voted on adding a new player to replace the one we lost, so that’s where this thread comes in!
Please note we are only accepting one player. I have general player requirements, yknow, queer friendly, not a jerk, preferably 18+. There are no character requirements, though we would appreciate it if you had some ability to heal other party members since our cleric was the one to drop out.
The campaign meets every Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm EST/EDT, excluding when members are busy. You would likely be joining in session three, at level 3.
General info about the campaign: each PC has had a piece of their soul stolen by a cult and are traveling together to regain the missing memories, encountering various misadventures along the way. It’s ended up as a metaphor for trauma or something, and it’s a scenario ripe for religious trauma, mysteries, etc. However we haven’t been playing especially seriously, though I wouldn’t be surprised if that changed as people get more comfortable.
As a DM I tend to reward creativity and I like rules lawyering (from my players). We’re playing 2024 5e, but I allow the early stuff if I happen to like it better or if it better suits your character! Combat is pretty simple rn, but I’m hoping to let things get more intense as the campaign continues. My players seem to really enjoy npc interactions, so you may have more fun if you also like it!
Like I mentioned earlier, it’s a fully online campaign, I run combat through a (not dnd beyond) ttrpg, and do other situations using minimal visual aid.
Hello, my discord is Kiveck. Color me intrigued. I have been playing/DMing D&D since 1984. Got the game for my birthday that year. I love to roleplay and enjoy committed and long campaigns. My record is 7 years with same group. God I miss that! LOL. If any of this sounds like I might be a good fit, I would love to hear from you.
