Hello adventurer; our group is looking to fill a spot in our ranks. We are still early in our journey (level 2, almost level 3, but 18 4- to 5-hour sessions played), so it's still the starting phase.
We are looking for a player interested in one of the following classes.
Rogue
Druid
(Monks won't fit with the world)
other classes that can fill that role can be discussed.
(We do have a Wizard/Bard, Fighter, Warlock, and a cleric and don't want to have a class duplicate)
It would help if you also were 25 plus years old; we are not young ourselves :)
Time of play: GMT +7
Please check if you have time when we play because we need to keep our play days the same.
It is a weekly Friday game; sometimes, Wednesday is an extra day.
The session starts Fridays at 8 p.m. (maybe 7) GMT +7 and lasts until 12 a.m
This schedule means if you are sitting in the US, it would be about 8 to 10 a.m. due to our time difference. We have a Canadian and a US player, and it works well for them with their morning coffee :)
How we play:
Reading this is important to ensure you are not wasting your time joining and being disappointed in the game because our game is a bit different, and we know it is not for everyone.
We play an eternal living campaign, which means the world and its inhabitants are fleshed out, and it's been worked on for 30 years.
We do have a slow pace and like to give our characters time. It's a very, very slow-burn playstyle on purpose.
This gives us time for roleplay and lets our characters live their lives (roleplay soap operas).
Characters all have a fleshed-out background story that is interwoven in the campaign and is essential for the game and motivation. That means you must have a background story as it will start your character arc.
Our combat system is 80% vanilla 5e
We have some homebrew rules that all aim to support a skill system and make the game less hack-and-slash but more impactful if there is a fight. (But it is still 5e). There are only a few battles, especially at the beginning of our journey.
The campaign is planned as a long-term campaign, where the players will affect what happens in the world.
In short:
If you are looking for a campaign, in a believable world, with lots of roleplay that will last you for years, then our round is for you.
The platform:
We will use Fantasy Grounds. You, as a player, only need the free version. For the music, we use Syrinscape, and for talking, we use a Discord server.
New players are welcome, as well as veterans. We expect, however, that you are willing to learn the DnD system so that you know how to play your character. Please send me a message or post below if you have any questions.
Here is my impression of the game, according to my opinion
Things are slow, but doesn't mean you are doing nothing, you will realize despite the slow pace, that YOU NEED MORE TIME (depending on what you want to do)
It's very roleplay heavy, with NPC doing reasonable and sensible action with decently fleshed out backstory, YOUR ACTION HAS CONSEQUENCES ON THESE PEOPLE'S LIVES
Thing will rarely goes according to plan, expect for a lot of improvisation. or a lot of troubleshooting.
The party current vibes is "Lawful Good", They tried to avoid unnecessary violence and abide the law to the best of their attempt , but rules are made to be broken .. so ...
It's Very Grounded , It's level 2 and the exp trickle is slow, so expect a lot of social encounter and lot's of common sense, avoid clearly dangerous people and organization, we are not heroes, but that doesn't mean we can't try to do good things. (despite the actual goal is rather selfish, but hey, that's not the point)
We are just normal people, a pawn in greater scheme, know your capability and limit, and be aware, choose your side in this chess game with whole town as it's playing field.
Overall, it's nice. grounded, believable campaign where a lots of drama happened like soap opera with intrigue and things moving in the background

Most of the time, I have no Idea what am I doing either
Hi, my name is Diana (30f) and I am very interested. I have played 5e for a few years now, and I am very passionate about RP. The way y'all play sounds absolutely fascinating and I am eager to experience it myself!
I have a very rogue-ish ranger that I think would be a great fit. I can also fit him to be a straight rogue if I need to.
I should mention he definitely isn't lawful good, but I don't play edgelord types. I just like to stir the pot with a little drama, and I love a prickly outsider with a heart of gold. If you have any questions for me, my discord is criticalcatastrophy#0416
I'm interested if you're still looking for someone! I would be interested in playing a druid. My discord is LukeW#8010. I would love to chat more on discord to discuss details if you still are looking for someone!
