Theyden, also known as the Jewel of the Desert, is a desert nation built along the banks of the Nim River. The nation itself is Ruled of by the High King of Theyden from the Ruby Throne in Baradesh, While the 6 Crown Princess of Theyden lord of the other respected cities of the region. In recent times the High King has grown ill and in anticipation of his death the High Princess has set out on campaigns to compete in the Nyn Ath Qu or Rite of Binding, Scouring the Alusfaen Desert in search of the nest of a Dragon. The Nyn Ath Qu quickly devolved into infighting and Civil war between the High Princess in an attempt by each to ensure his claim to the Ruby Throne of Baradesh. Civil war and rapid expansion into the desert in search of of the nest and other wealth has led to an extreme strain on the resources of Theyden watering being pulled from the Nim by irrigation to supply the budding settlements leading to decline in the rivers water levels, Causing famine as the lush farmland along the Nim that support the region wither under the strain and drought.
Game Type
This setting gives a dense environment for players to experience and explore, games are run on an even split between Role-Play ,Exploration, and Combat.
Combat is run on Foundry VTT with battle maps made personally by me, each fight being dynamic and engaging allowing for environmental interaction and experimentation. I use a few simple Home Brew martials for combat that add more depth to the 5e system without making it overly complicated to run.
Exploration is highly encouraged throughout the region of Theyden with the entire 230 square miles of map being utilized with Points of Interests, Towns, Traveling Caravans of merchants and potentially dangerous threats dotting the landscape. We will be keeping track of time with a calendar and things like food and water will be necessary to keep track of when spending long amounts of time away from civilization. Threats from Weather and extreme temperatures will be present.
Role-Play, Build characters integrated within the region, and pursue your goals as a Character and Party in a world that has built to feel alive. Interacting with player choices in positive and negative ways depending on player choice. I've built the region how you choose to explore and interact with it is completely up to you

I have been a GM for 6 years now. I have a detailed understanding of the game, how its run, and storytelling as a whole. having run dozens of groups in that time varying in size of 4-8 players.
