The Nexus is to worlds what central stations are to trains. A major point of convergence that bring things together, but ultimately locations nobody wants to find themselves trapped in. They also both smell really bad; the Nexus because it's in the middle of a swamp. Train stations, well you know why they smell bad. (Homeless people pee on things).
Unfortunately, you are trapped in the Nexus; at least part of the time. But you're not alone. People from other worlds are trapped too. To throw you a bone, the seemingly conscious Nexus will open portals to other words so you can stretch your legs, get vitamin D and fresh air. It is believed that these worlds hold answers to the curse that holds you in the Nexus. So I don't know, maybe explore these places and work out why you're trapped?
Will you venture forth and solve the riddle of the Nexus? Will you make friends of these strangers and explore new worlds? Will there be another forced train metaphor before this paragraph finishes?
All aboard the Nexus Train to find out ... toot toot
Players
So our mixed group (look at how with-it we are) are looking for players. Up front, we will make a solid effort to integrate you in our (already established) group. I plan to make your character know some things, so the other players can't choose to ignore you. They wouldn't anyway (we're a lovely bunch), but now they have no friggin' choice but to love you. Also, your first session with us will have the spotlight on you a bit... so sorry about that. :D
We are big on the whole shared story telling thing; so being able to follow the rolling ball, work well in team, hold a decent conversation, and be a little bit outgoing are necessary skills for our group.
We don't care about skills, knowledge of the system, or anything like that. We just want some fun people ultimately who can have a laugh with fellow weirdos D&D-enthusiasts.
There is an application process and we have some do / do nots, but ultimately this process is to make sure we don't have to write a Taylor Swift song about you if things don't work out.
Also, our average age is ~30. Some a bit north, some a bit south. We do not specifically require you to be late twenties or older, however being able to relate to random back pain and counting calories is a plus.
I Want In!
Well, you've read the above. All we need you to do is complete our application and wait several business days. Note: we have banned some races/classes, sorry (see form for details).
FYI, I'm a big fan of chewing the fat. So before we throw you in the game, we'll do some get to know us stuff. Make you realise that we're not a big scary group who will turn you into glue first mistake you make.
Wait, when do you play?
Thanks mostly to me (the other players are lambs) we play every other weekend-ish, usually Sunday evenings in the GMT+10 (East Coast Australia) timezone. So ideally you're a weekday, 9-5er looking for some action on the weekend ...
