Hi all!

I'm a DM who has experience running campaigns and one shots for several years. My close friends and I have started playing again last August after a several year hiatus (COVID, relocation, etc) and have been having a blast. While I truly enjoy DMing, I do sometimes wish I was able to play as a singular character at a table instead of several NPC's. I have only done homebrew campaigns and honestly I'm not really familiar with lots of finer details. I tend to favor story, character arcs and interaction then mechanics or rules.

I'm wondering if there are any people in the lower mainland that are comfortable with meeting once a week in person to play DND? I know now it's super easy to do it online but there's something about playing the game in person that online does not capture. If the DM for this group cannot host, I can host and can also drive people home if need be (if comfortable, obviously). I can also help the DM with coordinating schedules/people if need be, I don't mind.

For your reference, I'm 27 years old and have a full time job and several other hobbies. However, I will be there for every session. As a DM I know how missing a player can throw a wrench in the plans and I wouldn't put that on another fellow DM unless absolutely unavoidable. I'm open to both new players or returning players, and am hoping for something that is an even mix of roleplay and combat, or something a bit more roleplay heavy. I promise you I'm coming in with an accent lol
